4.0 out of 5 stars Best in town..., April 5, 2005
This review is from: Kingston 512MB DataTraveler I USB 2.0 ( KUSBDTI/512 ) (Personal Computers)
I originally owned the Kingston 128, but as time went on, I found that it wasn't enough memory for my needs. So, I moved up to 256, then on to 512. it's been a great tool for my needs. I move lots of docs and am able to use it to repair PC's. I highly recommend it.

Pros:
reliable, sturdy, adaptable (works in both PC/MAC's) and fits nicely in your pocket (don't forget it or you may wash it by accident, unfortunately, not water proof... :P)

Cons:
It's a little bulky, but that's only when compaired (ex. sandisk models, had one, but it was a piece of junk) a short adapter is included, which allows you to use it in tight spaces..

Overall it's a quality item for a decent price. I've owned current one (Kingston 512MB) for over six months and use it almost every day.

You can't go wrong with Kingston....

4.0 out of 5 stars Too wide., November 4, 2004

This review is from: Kingston 512MB DataTraveler I USB 2.0 ( KUSBDTI/512 ) (Personal Computers)
It's too wide to fit in the USB port of my computer (Dell) at work. The front panel of the computer where the USB port is recessed such that the DataTraveler hits the side and won't go in. Other than that, it works just fine.

1.0 out of 5 stars Defective, September 4, 2006
This review is from: Kingston 512MB DataTraveler I USB 2.0 ( KUSBDTI/512 ) (Personal Computers)
12 months to the day that I bought this on Amazon this drive just stopped working. Had a lot of data on it that I am unable to retrieve... a major loss. While Kingston generally makes good products, make sure you have backups of data you keep on this drive.
