Have had this stand in our main bathroom for over a year and the finish is still great with no scratches. The bottom has loosened a couple times, but included hardware makes it easy to tighten. Product is solid and we put multiple towels on without tipping. Only negative is it wasn't packaged well on shipment and was damaged. Company replaced without issues, but again, received a second in a very flimsy cardboard box with thin styrofoam layer.
