More than satisfied with the quality and good looks!

I was asking about defective parts on a product they manufactured (just trying to determine if they were defective).

Then tell them you need the rubber boot that fits onto it, which is the KB235KL Exploded Parts diagram part #20.

My experience was the same as the other reviewer. Extremely disappointed in the quality. Lots of play in the handles before they actually engage to change the water pressure. It is like steering a boat - you have to over-compensate for each turn because there is just so much play in the handle. I thought for sure I had installed it wrong but I had a plumber look at it and he said this was just an incredibly poor design. The handles also fall off all the time. They just come loose on their own. I called Kingston Brass thinking some of my parts were defective and trying to work with them was like pulling teeth. They would not answer any of my questions until they found me in some database of all customers. When I explained that I didn't buy directly from them, they told me to talk to whoever I bougth from. I was asking about defective parts on a product they manufactured (just trying to determine if they were defective). Do you really think Amazon would be able to help me with that? Don't go cheap - find something from a reputable brand. This was a HUGE waste of time, energy, and money.

Got this through overstock, thought it would fit the bill, that is, replace hard to replace old three lever tub set. O.K. paid for pro install, stuck with it, manifold soldered in. Each of the three handles keep falling off, very small thread contact, just unscrew and fall in tub, and each handle has about a three quarter inch play before any movement, the inserts for the screw covers for the cold water faucet came undone and fell down the drain. Cheap, very cheap.

I would rate this at Zero or negative stars if I could. They worked fine for about 6 months and then the main diverter went out, thats when I realized that all the parts used in these are insane custom parts. Theres a strange rubber stopper at the end of the Diverter stem, which subsequently destroys itself about every 6 months of regular use, less if you use it more often, Ace's didnt know what it was, nor did Lowes or Home Depot. Took it to a specialty plumbing parts store, they didnt have it or know what we were talking about. I can buy parts for a faucets made in 1920 from them but not this part! So you are forced to get parts from Kingston Brass, which is doable but requires a TON of patience. Forget about it if its an emergency, you'll be waiting around a month to get the parts, and then theres still no guarantee you've got what you needed so just order one of everything! I now have a leaky shower head, an easy fix, if they used standard parts, I could spend 50 cents on washers replace them and be done, but instead I had to spend a month emailing them and wondering where my parts that 'should arrive in 4 to 5 days' takes over two weeks. Swapped out all the parts, and it still leaks. Dont be fooled. Kingston brass sells cheap junk, you'll pay for it later when you have to tear open a wall and replace their trash with quality parts.

This sets appearance is exactly as described/pictured. However, the handles have been loose from day one. They appear to be threaded, but you can never tighten them. Finally one of the handles just fell off today and I can not fix it. Also the "H" and "C" push in buttons (to indicate the hot vs the cold water) also tend to pop out.

What a beautiful easy update to my bathroom which looks and feels high class. It is made of heavy "real brass".

I purchased this faucet online and it has been installed for less than 2 years. Like many others, I can attest that the faucet handles have a lot of play, the buttons pop out, the center handle sleeve rusted in place and had to be forcibly removed, and the rubber boot that covers the diverter cartridge has ripped and failed. While the price is right, and the finish looks good, it won't be a long term solution for you. Also, remove the domed, 4 hole, low-flow rubber restrictor in the shower head so your pressure doesn't bottom out when you use it. The shower head does have an adjustable pressure knob, which we use often.
The torn rubber diverter boot is the most non-standard of parts, as many have found out. After many hours, I have found an online resource for it. Kingston Brass will only sell a new diverter handle for $25 as an option for obtaining one. Instead, on the Kingston Brass website, look up model KB235KL, then pull up the exploded parts diagram. The rubber boot is part #20. Call plumbingpartswarehouse.com at 1-877-232-8238 x719 ask for Johnson. (He took the trouble to find out what I needed, go ask a parts specialist, and call me back.) This is a non-standard part, but they will sell it for $5. Refer to the diverter cartridge first: KBRP131CD. Then tell them you need the rubber boot that fits onto it, which is the KB235KL Exploded Parts diagram part #20.
My email confirmation lists decorsuite.com as the seller, FYI. As I just ordered them today, I hope their arrival is prompt, but I'm actually expecting it to take a week.
Overall, I'm happy the faucet was a cheap fix at the time when I needed just that. I'm unhappy that with a 10 year warranty, but no receipt, Kingston Brass was unwilling to send me a flimsy rubber gasket or even sell it alone. At least the faucet price here on Amazon is almost half of their listed one!
