5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Value
I have some Extreme IV cards that I like but wanted to have extra CF cards for the times I did not have the ability to download my shots or if the worse case scenario happened and a card went bad.

I purchased a couple of these cards since the price was right and they were available in a good size (4 Gigs)

These cards have been reliable and...

3.0 out of 5 stars nice card, for the money
I bought this card for my 4+ year old Canon Digital Rebel (6MP), and it works well. The camera shows 999 pictures possible, but I guess thats because it can display only 3 digits. After shooting a few high-resolution JPG pictures, it is still showing 999 :) I guess it is plenty of space for a 6MP SLR.

I gave it only 4-star because of the speed. I have been...

These cards have been reliable and performed well if not quite to the same level as the SanDisk in terms of burst shooting from what I could tell. For most shooting this is probably not going to be an issue. For parties, family get togethers and similar things these are fine.

It is more situations where you want to get every possible shot in high speed shooting modes with RAW that it could be an issue.

If you do not really see yourself worrying about the high speed modes often (and even then a slight performance increase) then these are a good buy.

I use this card in a Canon 20D to shoot a wedding. I had no occurences of lag times and during processing, uploading was the same.

Good buy for the money.

I bought this card when I bought my Canon XTi and have not been disappointed. I can easily capture shots in continuous shooting mode with no delay and with 4GBs it can hold more pictures than I'm likely to take before dumping the card onto my computer.

It's fast and was reasonably priced when I purchased it.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's not a Lexar but it's VERY good!, October 18, 2008

I would prefer to use a Lexar CF for the speed and reliability but their priced so high it cuts into my lens budget! I've used Sandisks and found them a good solid card also but I was really leery of using a Kingston on a professional job. Speed is very important to me but also I want a very reliable card.

I shoot with a Nikon D300 using a D70 as a backup. I started using 4GB Kinston CF cards this summer - I just couldn't ignore the great price and solid reviews. I use cards in less than ideal situations, a thunder storm, dusty dirty days, crazy hot days - so far not in snow... I have filled, downloaded and reformatted the four cards I purchased this year at least 10 times each. I've never had a card so much as hiccup. For the price it's five stars!

5.0 out of 5 stars Kingston CF Card, October 6, 2008

I have used this card in my Canon SLR 40D and it works fast. You can pay a lot more for a CF card but this Kingston card works great at a lesser price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for DSLR, April 7, 2008
This review is from: Kingston Elite Pro 4 GB 133x CompactFlash Memory Card CF/4GB-S2 (Personal Computers)
I use this as a backup to my sandisk ducati 8MB for my canon 40D. Not as fast but can handle the 5 to 6 frame per second without an issue on sport mode.

5.0 out of 5 stars 4GB card works in Nikon D70, November 16, 2008
This review is from: Kingston Elite Pro 4 GB 133x CompactFlash Memory Card CF/4GB-S2 (Personal Computers)
After some research I selected this 4GB CompactFlash card from Amazon for use in my Nikon D70 DSLR. Although the camera manual doesn't mention this card as being supported, tests have shown that it works great. I can now shoot 700 images in Raw mode. And the card is fast enough for burst shooting in Raw. For my purposes, having 700 shots available means I can go a whole night of D70 astrophotography without needing to change the card. Great product, great price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Faster than some sandisk ultra and extreme III, December 25, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Kingston Elite Pro 4 GB 133x CompactFlash Memory Card CF/4GB-S2 (Personal Computers)
I used to use Sandisk Ultra and Sandisk Extreme III ( 20mb /s data transfer rate with my Nikon 200. This is a little bit faster than the extreme III version). But the extreme III 30 mb/s new version is at par with this one. I have been using kingston and sandisk for a long time now and they are pretty reliable. I do a lot of of still photography and these cards never failed me.

What more can I say? Memory from one of the first and leading 3rd party memory manufacturers of the world. It's back by their true lifetime warranty - unlike some other companies who only talk the talk but don't walk the walk. But seeing that I've never received nor experienced a failed memory from them I shouldn't really vouch for that claim. Anyway, with the special rebates they were offering it really was a no brainer for my purchase.
