I bought one of these back in the spring. For less than twenty bucks, I figured it was a pretty good deal since the Migo software by itself is thirty. I've been wearing it on a lanyard around my neck, so it's not like it was banging around in a pocket or anything.

Today I noticed that the blue casing has split all the way down one side. The drive still works, but it will no longer stay closed. For something that was treated so gently, there's no excuse for it lasting such a short time before breaking.

I won't buy one of these again. It's poorly designed compared to other Kingston USB drives, and doesn't last. If it breaks this easily when well cared-for, I'd hate to think how quickly it would break if you carried it around in your pocket or briefcase.

I'm really disappointed in this - I expect better from Kingston products.

I heard a John C. Dvorak talk about the Migo in a podcast many months ago (2006?) and decided to give it a try. I bought a Kingston DTM/1GB DataTraveler, which my wife liked and ended up using. She uses it between work and home. She loves the color and size. I like their tiny size and don't mind the pastel color. I just ordered the DTM/2GB. This time I bought two. One for her and one for me. :)
