5.0 out of 5 stars Happy with the product
This product has worked fine for me.
The appearance was as pictured, and the 2 different computers that I used it on had no problems with it's software.

Complaints? None, only cosmetic observations.

3.0 out of 5 stars Needs a Dust Cover - But Great Othewise
Great little flash drive, but it does not come with a USB dust cover. If you tote it around in your pocket I suggest puting it in a small ZIP-Lock plastic bag to protect it from dust, crumbs, dirt, etc. . . - Otherwise it's a handy and attractive gaget. Everyone at the office wants to know where I bought it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Satisfactory, August 9, 2009

It's 16 gb as advertised. Nice design. It's also from a reputable company. No annoying stuff, like the U3 system. It's a bit slow, compared to the 4gb version of this usb key. If given the choice again, I would buy it at the same price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Product., September 2, 2008
I use it for basic storage and pictures and have no problems.
A lanyard would be nice so I would not have to go through a million places trying to remember where I put it.
I really like the security features.

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost 16GB, August 3, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The 16GB reader is actually only 15GB. 1GB is used for formatting, file allocation tables, etc. Only a small portion I know but space is space. Other than that it's a very good solid flash drive, be aware that the swivel top does not lock in place in any way so if you put it in your pocket don't have keys, change or other objects that may get inside the USB opening. There are two small holes in the metal swivel that are intended for a small lanyard (not included) like those found on other Kingston readers and flash drives.

This flash memory works great and I especially like the fact there are no separate parts.

I tried this flashdrive for the purpose of storing client files as they accrue (2000-word documents saved 3 times a day). The Kingston works perfectly for this purpose, it provides effortless use with both types of laptops I work with, and quick start-up and 2-second loading of new documents. Files from previous years tranferred in about 5 minutes. So now I have lots of storage dating back years in one package the size of the old 1gb drives. I really like the swivel cap, as it won't get lost. It has been reliably starting up every day for the past two weeks I've had it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well with Windows ReadyBoost, November 12, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I own four of these Kingston Data Travelers in various capacities and I find them very handy for portable storage but this one I bought specifically to use with ReadyBoost to improve the memory performance on my husband's Windows 7 computer.

Not all flash drives are created equal and many of them aren't fast enough to work with ReadyBoost but the Kingston performs admirably and made a noticeable difference.

Considering how reasonably priced they are and how well they handle a variety of tasks, I'm a big fan of these convenient little drives.

This Flashdrive is very small and so portable, but it is also easy to lose if you dont keep a eye on it. Has a nice design and great speed, Not to mention the fast shipping speed of the product

4.0 out of 5 stars Good value for the price, November 24, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've owned about ten different USB drives, and I was describe the DataTraveler 101 as solidly average - but so's the price, so the value is fine.

For performance, I get about 4MB/sec write speed and 13MB/sec read speed. This is on a Core2 Duo system with an ASUS motherboard. In contrast, my dual-channel OCZ Rally2 gets about 9MB/sec write and 20MB/sec read - but the Rally2 costs twice as much: OCZ Rally2 4 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive OCZUSBR2DC-4GB

Although the Traveler 101 will work for ReadyBoost, I would recommend a dual-channel USB because the write speed for ReadyBoost is important.
