Kingston DT200 64G USB, October 29, 2009
I own two of these keys and have had to send both of them back to Kingston for replacement due to failure related to the connection between the PCB and the metal shoe.
I'm not rough with my devices and take care in handling them since I depend on them for my work.
There is not enough support on the metal connector internally to handle the insert and extraction forces from plugging into the USB port. The device is very fragile. If you choose to own one, purchase a USB extension cable to use with it, to prevent stress on the connector causing a loose connection and failure of the device. The slide cover that slips over the connector also tends to slip back and forth when you don't want it to.
This key needs a better case design for the money that you spend on it. The Sandisk Cruzer Contour case is a much better design for this format.
Would I buy another one? No, it has already cost me more than it's worth in time and aggravation due to the failures and loss of data.

POOR Reliability, February 22, 2010
This review is from: Kingston DataTraveler 200 - 128 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive DT200/128GB (Black) (Personal Computers)
I second the review by V. Rooney. Product has lots of memory but it does you no good if the device fails.
Mine failed within the first week. They offered to replace it but seemed to act like this happens all the time and is no big deal. When I told them there's important data on the drive that I couldn't get to, the response pretty much amounted to, "Well, these things happen. No one's perfect." Now to get my money back I have to send this thing back with personal data on it, which someone may or may not be able to access.
Don't buy this device. I'm now using the Corsair Survivor Flash Drive. Much better!

This item turned out to be a fake., April 8, 2010
This review is from: Kingston DataTraveler 200 - 128 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive DT200/128GB (Black) (Personal Computers)
I called the Kingston folks to let them know the product did not function properly when I tried to down-load information to it. Some of the files were corrupt when I tried to use them...just simple word documents. In fact, this thing is so unreliable that I will not put information on it. The Kingston folks were nice and said they would honor the five year warranty. They asked me to find the serial number on the part of the device that fit into the USB port...there was no serial number. I was told that the lack of serial number indicated a fake device though it came in an authentic looking package indicating made in America. I will not buy a similar device through Amazon! Buyer Beware!!!
