It also has two small holes for a key ring or string to carry it with a nice end cap.

Small size is perfect so it won't get broken or worse yet break the car's USB port inside the center console compartment.
C. Williams
Plugged it into my computer and it worked just fine and plays music in my car just fine.

I just got it. It is cute and small but write speeds are 2MB/sec. It is like USB1.1 (ony twice fast!). It would take more than 2 hours to fill in data. Don't buy this for transferring data. For read mostly purposes, it is fine. That is what I am intending to do! Sandisk Cruzer fit seems to have better write speed (4MB/sec) in a small scale factor. BTW, I only ran the "dd" once, so take the number with a grain of salt!

dd if=/dev/zero of=./zerofile bs=10M count=100 oflag=direct
100+0 records in
100+0 records out
1048576000 bytes (1.0 GB) copied, 511.912 s, 2.0 MB/s

dd if=./zerofile of=/dev/null bs=10M count=100 iflag=direct

I bought two of these little gems, an 8 and 32GB model. They are small and work well with my Asus notebook computer. Data transfer rates are not exceptional but normal. The biggest reason I can only give this product 3 stars is that the build quality is questionable. The tiny little plastic head on both of the ones I purchased is not positively fastened to the metal USB plug and I wonder when they are going to pull right off. I applied Cyanoacrylate adhesive to both of mine and quick cured it with a dash of Soda Ash (Arm & Hammer baking soda.) This prevents the head from wiggling when you remove the drive from the USB port on the computer and appears to have fixed the problem.

Bought for a car stereo that can play mp3's off of a flash drive.

Very small and inconspicuous as I wanted!

Now I don't worry about breaking off a normal size flash drive. It is also a lot harder for thieves to see this one.

I have a laptop that I cannot add RAM to. This micro flash drive is the only option I have to increase the short-term memory of my computer. I plugged it in, right clicked on the drive and went to format. From there I formatted the drive to NTFS so that I could use the full amount of the drive for ReadyBoost. I also choose to rename the drive as Readyboost. Hit format and in a matter of seconds I was ready to tell Windows that it now had 8GB of space to use as a buffer.

The drive works well for what I want it to and the compact size is great for leaving it plugged into the side all the time. Great value.

The product it self seems a little cheaply made but that doesn't matter to me. I use it on a daily basis, it stays in my car stereo deck all day in the Arizona heat and it still works. The only issue I have with this product is that it is so slow when writing to it. But its okay I write to it once maybe twice and it'll stay in the car.

Small enough to be left in place without getting in the way, but big enough to get a grip on it to pull it out. The Sandisk version is smaller, but the edges are round and it is very hard to pull out. This one is cheaper and easier to grip.

Size is just right compared to my older thumb drive that protrudes from my car stereo. Relatively inconspicuous. Writing speed is not my concern as the primary use is for music to be played in my hifi system and car stereos on the go. I haven't used the warranty yet but with 5 years, shows you its reliability and durability. Drawbacks include : easy to lose and a slight difficulty to pry out from the USB port due to its size. Overall, though, a good buy.

Transferring a thousand songs from my PC took just a few minutes on this drive. I am using the "as delivered" file format.

My car stereo accesses the data much more reliably than the previous drive I was using.

I hoped there would not be a blinking access light on this drive, and to my joy there isn't because the drive is installed in the front faceplate of the stereo system.

Great buy - go for it!
