Kingston Brass 4" Center-Set Bathroom Faucet,
By

We love this faucet but the handles have a tendency to unscrew themselves though it doesn't open the valves. I am sure there is some remedy but I haven't been bothered by it enough to investigate. A great faucet for the money!

Poor finish,

Looked good when I recieved it, but the finish is chipping off and I have had for less than one year. Faucet functions well, but looks bad. I don't use harsh chemicals to clean it either. Just foaming glass cleaner or 409 at first, but when chipping started I now just wipe with wet towel. Both faucets I bought at the same time are still chipping the finish off.

I bought a single-handle ORB finished faucet by Kingston Brass.
It has always been a little difficult to get it turn off. There's a sweet spot where it does not continue to drip, but you have to hit that spot. After a couple of years the finish started peeling off. If you're looking to get an oil-rubbed bronze finished faucet, DO NOT waste your money on a Kingston Brass faucet.

Faucet is almost black instead of the oil rubbed look we thought it would be. The faucet is very small with thin small handles and looks cheap. It was cheap in price so I guess I got what I paid for in the end. I will replace this one in the near future

I've been looking for a bronze fixture for a bathroom in my fairly new home for a good while now but could only find them starting at $100 and up. This was definitely more than I wanted to spend, but I really wanted bronze since this is the only fixture in the bathroom that isn't. This is the only one I found even close to this price, and I'm definitely satisfied with it! I received it really quickly too.

Exactly as stated and expected the item to be. Recieved faucet in a couple days & install was easy. Very pretty and completed the last bathroom upgrade. I have 4 of these in the house and no problems from any of them.

Nice Faucet but didn't work for us,

We liked the faucet and it seemed to be well built. We have a tile counter top and the brass water line connectors on the bottom were too short. They are 1.5 inches long and we found that most other faucets are 2 inches. We ended up purchasing some Delta faucets that worked for us.

Nice look, no instructions included, lots of plastic,

The faucet itself is attractive and heavy, sturdy looking and feeling. The inner workings are all plastic fittings, though they seem to be a good grade, who knows how long they will last. There were absolutely NO instructions included, and as others have mentioned, no supply lines included. If I had not already installed a few faucets, I would have been very upset and clueless as to how to do it. If you are a novice, maybe pick another faucet or make sure you find instructions online. My favorite thing in the list of parts was the "Problem Shooting" section... It sure doesn't cover much. I would imagine there are many problems if you don't know what you are doing!

We purchased two of these for a basement bathroom. We had a granite countertop put on a vanity and these faucets would not work. The brass fittings for the water supply were too short. Our plumber said he had never seen this happen before where after the locking nuts were put on the fittings there was not enough room to put the supply lines on.I had to run out to home depot while he was there and purchase two different faucets. Now I have to return these. The countertop is about 1.5 inches thick, nothing extreme. Don't waste your time and money.

We installed this faucet about 30 days ago, and are very happy with the performance. The color is a bit darker than what I've usually seen advertised as "oil-rubbed bronze", but it works well with other oil-rubbed bronze materials in our bathroom. The faucet is very heavy, there are no markings or blemishes on it.
The installation is easy, although the instructions are very poorly written, with misspelled words and poorly labeled diagrams. Not good for a novice installer, but an experienced installer could get through them without a problem. The instructions do state to use certain tools and products but don't instruct where or when to use those specific tools. The handles screw on, but only have three threads so not very sturdy. I would not recommend drinking water from the facet for the first few days after installation because it will taste very metallic. Probably due to the casting process and went away after a few days. Good product for the price. |
