So far the memory card works great. No problems. Been using it for over a month now. I do not agree with that the memory card reader is a flimsy junk. It is plastic, so don't expect it last if you roll over with your car. It is not worse than a USB flash drive which is made of plastic (since most of them are).
The card reader has a little blue light at the top and is blinking when data is being read. I find the reader great help, so I don't have to keep connect the cable to my camera, just pop the card out and read away. It supports different cards which is also great, but I only use it with SDHC cards.
You can pull out the little doors/protectors or whatever else you might wanna call it, both at the front and on the back, which will protect the USB connector and the card as well. This way you can easily leave a card in there while transporting it and it will be protected.

I had some doubt that this reader was going to work as well as it had when I opened a 4GB card and those doubts were immediately dispelled. Works in Vista 32 and 64 without a hitch and is immediately recognized. The 32 GB card has been put aside for vacation but I am very pleased.

I've had one of these for about two years. I bought it because it had the dual purpose of card reader and flash drive. The build quality is cheap at best but if you're careful it seems to be fine. One nice feature is that both Windows XP and Mac (Snow Leopard) have read it without problem.

Works well, but width blocks USB ports
The card and card reader work well, and quickly. The only problem is that the disc reader is so wide that inserting it into my Macbook (or other laptop) blocks nearby USB ports. Read more

Kingston SD Card Reader
This is a great little device for anyone that needs a portable card reader. It's small, light, and works. Throw in the 4gb SD card, and this product is a no-brainer!

Gotta love it for the price

Can't use the thing if an SD car won't even fit in the slot that's supposedly designed to accommodate it. Save your money and buy something else. Read more
