Ideal for personal or professional use, MobileLite is ultra-portable, plug and play, and requires no external power source. On the road, the MobileLite Reader uses the storage capacity of your preferred card, and allows you to easily connect to the content you want when using it at a business center or Internet cafe computer. It requires no additional card adapters and uses both of its sides as expansion slots.
The slot on side A supports SD/SDHC, MMC, MMCmobile, RS MMC, and MMCplus card formats. The slots on side B support microSD, MMCmicro, and miniSD card formats. When in use, MobileLite appears as three drive letters (such as G:, H:, I:) and data transfer is as simple as drag and drop. This Kingston card reader comes with a 2-year warranty.

The Most Reliable Reader I've Owned,
By
This review is from: Kingston MobileLite 9-in-1 USB 2.0 Flash Memory Card Reader FCR-ML (Personal Computers)
This is my third card reader and the most reliable one. The first two were the size of a deck of cards with two slots. More than half of the time, the computer couldn't see the card reader's USB. I had to fight and do weird things to make the card readers wake up. One that I gave to my kid still works and the other one (newer than the one I gave to my kid) doesn't.
I've used this USB card reader for a few months now and the PC recognizes it every time. I don't have to fiddle with it to work. And it's a lovely small size that I can slip it in my little drawer. The other card readers were too big for the drawer. If you worry about losing the little USB reader, it comes with a keychain ring so you can attach it to something like your keys. Be warned, it's very thin and the ring is very small. Some keychain rings can be too thick for it. Open the top or bottom white cover to reveal the card slots. One side holds the Micro SD/MMC Micro and the mini SD. The other side holds the larger cards like the SD and MMC cards. The three slots come with a slider -- push the slider to take out the card. You don't have to pull it out. One negative is opening the top and bottom white covers doesn't come easy. It can also be hard to get the USB top off sometimes and it can only go on one way, not both. Another negative is the sliders -- they feel fragile like they'll break off easily. Handy little product that does a lot.

I have several USB SD readers. This one is the BEST. It's very veratile, well-made, and feature packed. Kingston even thought of including a simple loop to keep the protective cap attached to the Mobilelite while it is plugged into the USB port on your PC.

Works, but only after fixing it.,
This review is from: Kingston MobileLite 9-in-1 USB 2.0 Flash Memory Card Reader FCR-ML (Personal Computers)
Would be a great product if it worked as advertised out of the box. Like other reviewers, my Mobilite was very picky about what SD(SDHC) cards would work and what didn't. I never had a problem reading MicroSD cards though. One Sandisk 2GB card would read, but another Sandisk wouldn't, tried other brands, same results. It wouldn't read my Transcend 16GB SDHC. I noticed that if I slowly slid a card that wasn't working, with the Mobilite plugged into the USB socket(not recommended), it would start to read when it was mostly in the socket (the green light would turn on), but would stop working once I pushed it in all the way. I got fed up with the thing, so I cracked it open from the back so I could get to the pins on the inside. I bent the outside pins on each side, that contact the metal on the circuit board, and pushed the inside pins up more. After snapping the Mobilite back together, my 16GB SDHC card reads, along with the other cards that didn't. Its up to you if you want to go to that extreme to make the product work or just skip it all together.
