This has been prefect for my HP Proliant N40L Micro server. It maxes out the RAM on the N40L, which for the money is a great buy. I have been testing various Operating systems with this configuration and the 3 that I have really enjoyed running are WHS 2011, Solaris 11, and FreeNAS 8.0.3. When using FreeNAS or Solaris 11 with ZFS Storage Pools, you'll make better use of 8GB of RAM. 8GB of RAM for WHS 2011 is a little overboard. Generally speaking, for every TB of data using ZFS Storage Pools, you'll want at least 1GB of RAM for caching ZFS metadata, in addition to 1GB-2GB of RAM for the Operating System. So I've got (1) SSD and (4) 2TB drives running in Solaris 11 using ZFS. So I am cutting it close, but still getting great performance because I am using a partition on my SSD as a level 2 ARC cache (L2ARC).

I'd highly recommend this RAM to anyone than needs EEC Server Memory with a Case Latency of 9. Enjoy!

I purchased 4 sticks (16GB) of this RAM for my new HP ProLiant ML110 G7 server. It has been working flawlessly so far; even better I got it when it was cheaper at $61.xx. This RAM also works with DELL PowerEdge T110 and T410 servers.

I am using this unbuffered ECC ram (NOT Fully Buffered! If you need FB RAM, this is not for you) in my home server, and it seems to be extremely stable. I can't say much about its performance, because I do not run any games on my server. However, applications open quickly and this is the maximum amount of RAM allowed by windows home server 2011

Installed them in my Dell T310 server and everything seems to work fine. Saved me a bundle from having to buy the RAM upgrade from Dell.

Built out a server with a HP Proliant N40L case. Kinston ValueRAM 8GB kit maxed out the RAM for it and have has 0 issues! ECC RAM is necessary in any NAS or server build and I didn't want to dig deep into my wallet. This product was the perfect solution.

Installed this RAM on a new build for my Server 2012 Essentials system. Put in 16GB total and it's been running smooth with no configuration or tweaking needed. Seems stable and at a great price.

They are running perfectly with no errors. What else? I am using linux, including EDAC so if there were any errors whether correctable or not, I would know immediately. The temperature sensor needs a kernel module called j42 and then I use lm_sensors to read the temps.

I run these at higher than stated speed, up to 1600. I have a Thuban 1100T in an ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3. This is actually a desktop/gaming motherboard. The memory runs fine, and doesn't heat up. Something to note is that if you want to overclock these, you will have to come up with most of those timing parameters yourself. Kingston doesn't expect you to be hot-rodding your server!

I bought mine March 2011, so at the time I'm writing this, they have been on 24/7 at 1600 for two years and still no errors. Yeyuh!

I purchased this set of RAM for my HP Proliant N40L Microserver and have had nothing but great performance from them. I use my Microserver constantly whether it be streaming video or ripping videos over Gigabit LAN and the 8GB of RAM definitely allows it to run at its full potential.
