5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent module for dell 700m
Works perfect for my dell 700m. Saved me few bucks over dell offered memory upgrade.

1.0 out of 5 stars didn't work for dell 700m
I bought one of these modules for my dell 700m. Installed it easily but once every few days my system crashes or I get a blue screen. I contacted kingston and they said that this module hasn't been tested on dell machines and is configured to work on generic computers only! I wouldn't recommend this memory for dell 700m users.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work on my Dell 700m, December 12, 2007
This review is from: Kingston ValueRAM 1GB 333MHz DDR Non-ECC CL2.5 SODIMM Notebook Memory (Personal Computers)
Though all the configurators on the web, including crucial and kingston, say this will work, it does not work on my 700m. It blue screens shortly after start up every time. I will try another brand.

Works fine with my inspiron 5150 computer. Brought it for the extra boost needed to run windows vista business. No issues no crashes or hangs since. compared to the 160usd for dell recommended memory this is a bargin.

1.0 out of 5 stars Beware of which merchant it is shipped from, June 28, 2008

My 1-star rating is not for the product itself but is because of the hassle I had to go through. I wanted this specific one because of its good record in working with PowerBook G4s and thus ordered this specific model (KVR333X64SC25). I was shipped a different model (KVR333SO) from TigerDirect.

I called them to get it ironed out. The first person I talked to put me on hold and then hung up on me after I explained the situation. I had to call back and spoke to a different person who tried to argue that the RAMs would work the same. I explained that essentially it was a case of false advertising since they shipped me a model different from the one I had ordered. After the person verified what I said was true on amazon.com, he finally relented on getting me a shipping label to get the item shipped back for a full refund including initial shipping. Apparently they did not have this model in stock at all (I had suggested an exchange for the right model).

I waited for 2 days for the shipping label to be emailed to me but never received it. I tried calling back to try to find the rep I had talked to several times and kept reaching a voicemail of a different person. I tried explaining the situation to a different representative that I needed help. This new rep immediately transferred me to the extension I had provided without thought! Durh! Not sure which part of 'am reaching a voicemail instead' did he not understand.

Anyway, I called again (this time I did not tell the representative what extension!). After explaining the situation all over again and telling a new rep that I am still waiting for the label, I was put on hold for about 10 minutes. Finally, this rep told me I should be receiving the label within minutes and true enough, I saw it appearing in my inbox. Despite the long wait, I have to comment that this last rep was the most polite and pleasant to speak to as compared the ones I had to deal with previously.

I am suggesting that any potential buyer be aware of the possibility that they are still shipping the different RAM model at this point. Also, do note that the TigerDirect website do not list which model of Kingston 1GB PC2700 DDR 333 RAM being sold on the product page.
