I own the Asus 1005-PE MU 27 netbook - see link below.
(http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003JZC5K6/ref=oss_product) It came with 1GB of RAM that was upgradable to 2GB. Given the somewhat so-so performance at times of the netbook, I opted to upgrade to 2GB. I did some homework and found that users who bought this particular brand of memory did not have any issues (apparently some had problems with the memory from other brands). Sure enough, I installed the chip and it worked perfectly fine. No problems whatsoever with booting the computer and shutdowns (which was reported by others in the past with other chips). For full disclosure, I am somewhat of a hardware idiot, meaning I am certainly not one who is good at opening up a computer and messing around with internal components. But this one was easy. Unscrewed one screw, opened the panel, took out the old chip, carefully put the new one in. Turned on the netbook, pressed F2 to get into the BIOS to confirm the memory is recognized by the computer = voila. All done. Took 5 min.

I purchased the Kingston 2GB 800MHZ DDR2 sodimm memory as an upgrade for my Samsung NC10. It was simple and easy to install. It has been working perfectly. This is a great upgrade for the Samsung NC10 and I'm sure it would be for other netbooks (but I have not checked the specifications on other brands and models).

Installed in my Asus EeePC 1005PE and it definitely put some snap into the system. This is the single best thing you can do to speed up your Intel Atom n450 Netbook. Optimizing software & system processes, using ReadyBoost on a SD-memory card all help but not as much. Only other recommendation is to try the Opera Web-browser (especially for Twitter).

Nice and necessary addition if you multitask (and who doesn't). Worth every penny and you can't get a better brand than Kingston.

Used it on my Asus EEE 1005HA-17bk. The installation was pretty simple. I had already updated my bios through the asus update tool prior to the installation of this item. Fast-boot does not need to be disabled. You just turn computer off, unplug from power cord, and remove battery prior to installation. The next steps are very simple and can be found on the asus1005ha.com website with a video aswell.
After the installation you put the battery back in and plug it to the power cord. When turning on the computer you press F2 for the computer to boot into the bios set up and on the first screen should say "memory: 2gb" meaning it has recognized it. Then if you want to make sure you can run the memory test option if there is one on the bios and then go to exit and save settings. The computer turns off and boots like normal. I also found a little tip to make the computer even better. Just use a micro sd or a flash drive and when you plug it in windows should pop up with some options on the drive. It should say "open folder" then others. Scroll down and select Ready boost, then it will ask what amount of memory you want to use for this and select what you want. Recommended is about 4gb although less will still help. This will however kill your flash drive or sd card faster so i suggest you only use it when you need better performance or if you don't use them or care they fail faster. Your performance will be ALOT better opening and loading different programs. Also remember to set the 1005ha to super performance which over clocks the cpu to about 1.69ghz (Fn+spacebar). The memory has worked very well and have had no problems with it. Working right out of the box, being also cheaper than crucial and also eligible for shipping with amazon prime (the crucial i found was not so it meant more expensive + shipping). Hope this helps.

I purchased this product for my ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1005PE-MU27-PI 10.1-Inch Pink Netbook with Kindle for PC (11 Hours of Battery Life) after reading good things about those who spent the money on the extra RAM. They arrived together, so I installed the product before turning my PC on for the first time.
The rest of the day was spent customizing/installing/the usual new computer to-dos. I panicked that first night as I kept getting Microsoft's blue circle of "I'm too busy to listen to you right now." It made me panic, wondering if I had installed the RAM improperly, or if the netbook wasn't reading it, etc.. It turned out that once I stopped being an idiot trying to run five installers at once, everything was gravy. I now have Office 2007 and Google Chrome running simultaneously and have no complaints. This memory chip is well worth the price, as it means not having to watch that circle go round and round...and round some more. I didn't do it (because I'm impatient), but you should probably check the BIOS after installing to make sure that it recognizes the chip.

I upgraded a Toshiba netbook from 1GB to 2GB with this. Good value for price. It works well, installs easily, etc. It's a commodity price for a commodity part. If you haven't upgraded your netbook or laptop to take all the RAM it can handle, do it now. It's easy to install with only a small screwdriver to take off the backplate on almost any computer.

Kingston has always been solid. I bought this as an upgrade on a netbook computer. It matched the speed of the old 1 gig that came with the unit. Added the extra memory to really speed the netbook performance.
As always, it worked like a champ!

I ordered a netbook for my daughter, and this 3 minute memory upgrade was a breeze. It took longer to find my Philips screwdriver than the whole memory module exchange operation (lol). No flaws - it worked just as fine as it should always do.
