5.0 out of 5 stars Memory with good compatibility
Used the kingston memorys upgrading different computers: dell, compaq/hp, or homemade brand, all running smoothly without problem, also no conflict with any other old 2700 memory.

1.0 out of 5 stars Caused my computer to reboot repeatedly
I bought this product to speed up my computer, but instead it made no change in speed and caused my computer to reboot itself about every 20 minutes. How aggravating!

I finally removed the RAM and started the process of getting it replaced through Kingston. There is no 1-800 number, so I have completed a series of online forms and each time waited on Kingston...

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 minutes, February 22, 2007

This review is from: Kingston ValueRAM 1 GB 333MHz PC2700 DDR DIMM Desktop Memory (KVR333X64C25/1G) (Personal Computers)
That's all it took: 5 minutes. I got this little stick of RAM in the mail, opened the package, popped it out, popped off the side of my system, popped out the two old 256MB sticks, popped in the new 1G stick, popped the side of my case back on, plugged everything back in, and pushed the case back into its place next to my desk. Unplugging and replugging everything into the back was more of a pain and took way longer than actually installing the card, and it took no work at all once it was in. My system automatically recognized the boost from the very first start, and now, it's running like a dream!

For the small cost, relatively speaking, and the minimal amount of effort it took to install, I'm wishing I would've upgraded a long time ago. For those of you who are afraid to upgrade the RAM on their system because you're afraid to crack open your system and tinker around, just remember to ground yourself (so you don't discharge a bunch of static electricity into a sensitive component), and make sure you put the card in the same way as the old one(s)....then again, you don't even need to worry about that last part, because it won't let you put it in backwards. So, if you want to inject an old system with some fresh speed for a pretty small cost, get this card, plug it in, and proceed to be amazed.

5.0 out of 5 stars As expected, June 25, 2006

Made my computer run better. I upped from .5 Gig to 1.5 Gig. I'm glad I was able to get the same type of memory I already had, just in a larger size, by matching the KVR... number.

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm Impressed, February 27, 2007

I bought this RAM for a PIV 1.8GHZ Dell 4400. The mobo only supports PC2100 speed. However, RAM may be backwards compatible, like in this case. It sometimes even costs less to buy faster RAM for an older computer. This is b/c it just so happens that this is what a manufacturer is optimized to produce. I used to buy alot of Samsung RAM for work b/c I know they are highly compatible and run well... pay more for guarantee of less downtime/conflicts. However, I wanted to try this for home use on my guest PC. I'm impressed that the RAM works so well, no lock ups and I noticed improvement. The price speaks for itself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works for me!, June 18, 2005

I have a Dell Dimension 2400 2.4 Mhz which came with 256 MB. I had previously upgraded to 512 MB but I use two memory-intensive stock market applications and -- together with sharing RAM for the built-in display adapter -- it ran a little slow at times. The new pair of 512 MB Dimms came 5 days after ordering, went right in the two Dimm slots, fired up without incident, and made everything run much faster.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great memory with no complications, October 21, 2005
It's been a few months since I've installed this product into my PC and the results have been Fantastic! Along with this order i also bought an nVidia GeForce5500 (256mb) card and with the speed of the Kingston512+anotherKingston256(I ordered the latter a few months earlier),I am more than satisfied. Games load and play well beyond what I expected. Absolutely no CRASHES,No Compatability conflicts, No memory Leakage( which tends to happen with BARGAIN PRICED Memory(So BEWARE OF OTHER LOW-PRICED MODULES,YOU'LL IN FOR A REAL HEARTBREAK IF YOU'RE NOT CAREFULL).Kingston's brand of memory is not only reasonably priced for the average Budget-Conscience Consumer,it also deliver's.Don't get confused by reading some of the HOGWASH reviews on this page by those who whine about this product, some consumers just will not be happy with a product unless it has the power to turn WATER INTO WINE! Go with Kingston, you won't be sorry.Take it from someone who works with creating (videogame graphics). The cost won't break you and the quality is just right.Looking forward to purchasing another 512 to replace the 256 so my machine will be 1/2 the way there as far as Max. Memory Capacity. Thank's Kingston---Darvius7

5.0 out of 5 stars good deal, September 1, 2004
By
i have a dell 2400 Pent2.8 that came with 128mb for ram. i decided its too slow so i ordered this memory upgrade. i ordered it on sunday night and opted for the free super saver shipping. they said it would be 7-9 days but mine came on tuesday(just 2 days).

i added it to my existing 128mb ram and now im running at 640mb of ram. works great.

dell 2400 is running on shared memory. it means that ur video/graphics memory depends on your total ram. when i had 128mb of memory my video memory was only 32mb. when i got this upgrade (128+512=640mb)my video memory was at 64 mb. just get this upgrade rather than buying a 64mb video card.computer is faster and the video is a lot better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy Upgrade, January 18, 2007
This review is from: Kingston ValueRAM 1 GB 333MHz PC2700 DDR DIMM Desktop Memory (KVR333X64C25/1G) (Personal Computers)
This was an easy upgrade to my computer, giving me all the ram I should ever need. Once we figured out how to get the cover off the computer, the installation took about 5 minutes.
