It is hard to get excited about memory modules....other than they fit correctly, don't use up a lot of power, allow the cpu to run the
OS faster as well as other programs and are actually compatible, oh and most important, they don't cost too much...all of this is true for the memory I purchased. It was delivered quickly, professionaly shipped and worked great. i thank you for the product and would gladly purchase from the person again.

Upgraded to 6GB in my Dell (along with Win7-64) and bought this Kingston memory to do so. Simple, straightforward upgrade and the DRAM runs just fine after two weeks of use, including a RAM-test utility.

If you are not certain of your specific DRAM needs, I would recommend running diagnostic utilities from any of the big DRAM manufacturers ([...]).

Ordered 2-kits, Electrically Matched Sticks of RAM. Received 1-Stick as advertised, which means seller broke apart Matched Pairs. The other 3-Sticks were for a specific computer system, not mine of course. Seller's web site shows no RAM available for sale, but lists RAM for sale on Amazon.

Would not recommend buying from ETARATECH

It worked for about 2 days and then I put it under a little pressure and it failed. One of the sticks totally fried. Not worth it at all. They seem like cheep sticks to begin with.

The memory works well but I was surprised that Windows XP sees only 2.75 GB, although in the BIOS it says that 4 GB are usable. I contacted Kingston and was told that it is normal for the 32-bit version and that I would need the 64-bit version for Windows to see 4 GB. I was also told that, if I use my prior RAM (KVR800D2N5K2/2G) which has a latency of 5 along with the 4GB D2N6 which has a latency of 6, the speed will probably be reduced to 667.

Regarding delivery service, it was quite an experience. To their credit the USPS delivered the modules 2 days before the estimated date as posted on their site. However, I never received anything. I tried to phone the local post office several times to see what happened but they never answered the phone. Consequently I had to go to the post office twice and told me they were too busy to answer the phone. They then told me to call the Postal Inspector for theft of mail. I said that it was probably delivered to the wrong address but they insisted it was delivered to the correct building. Two days later a guy from a nearby street came to the building and gave me the package. Apparently he had the same apt number but a completely different street name and number. I wish Amazon would give us the option to select the carrier to deliver our purchases.

Regarding Amazon's response to the delivery problem, I couldn't ask for better customer service. A day after the delivery to the wrong address, the rep and I decided to wait for another day so that I can further check with the post office as to what happened. I told him to phone me back at 2 different times on the following day after I get more information.

I went from 4 to 8GB and Photoshop runs quicker, and generally I have a lot less lag in everything.
