I have the seagate similar device and this product works much much better! Only problem is that it takes about a minute to find with both my iPhone and iPad! Software is great and if you want something easy to use that works this is the BABY!

I have done a review for the Wi-Drive app for the iOS and luckily they both work the same. Just load up data, pictures, music, or videos onto the Wi-drive and turn it on. It is now a wireless access point that can be connected to using the Kindle Fire or any other wireless device. Also, up to three people can be on it at once accessing the same data. I cannot try this but Kingston claims this (or something similar). I have not had an issue with the wireless range of the Wi-Drive either. I have been able to have the Wi-Drive on the opposite side of the house and still be able to access it quickly. The Wi-Drive for the Fire opens up many more options because it addresses the Fire's small capacity.

Honestly, I never used the Wi-Drive much with my 16GB iPhone but it is a great idea for the Kindle Fire. It is very simple to navigate and it is pretty self-explanatory. Kingston did a great job with the app and the Wi-drive. It loads up photos,

Unfortunately, I cannot give the app 5 stars. Not because it is Kingston's fault, it is just because the Fire has some limiting video formats. It cannot play even the simplest video formats such as .wmv or .avi. Practically every video on my computer was formatted in .avi and while the format is very old it is still a solid one. I had a lot of trouble playing videos on the Fire through the Wi-drive and this has turned out to be my biggest problem with the app. I have not tried to put videos on the Fire itself, however that defeats the purpose of the Wi-drive considering videos can be rather large. To put large videos on the Fire's small 8GB, along with one's music, apps, or pictures can be make storage run out rather quickly. It isn't that hard to manage the space but it is something to keep an eye on.

Overall, I am satisfied with the Fire and the Wi-Drive app itself. It gets the job done for the most part. I wish the Fire could play more formats but that's a job for Amazon. Both are great products! I highly recommend the Fire as well as the Wi-Drive for those who want a tablet and want a little bit of extra space.

If anyone has questions feel free to ask! Here is a link to the Wi-Drive if anyone is interested.
