My Dell only came with 512 megs. I upgraded earlier this year to 1.2 gigs and saw a real improvement in the speed of documents opening. However, I recently took up photography and saw a marked decline in speed, whenever i had any photo editing software open.

Since i've added the last gig, now up to 2 gig, i have no complaints. Machine boots, programmes open, everything processes, much faster now.

The memory came as estimated, the product was well package, the items does work and the price was excellent. Kingston make great products

Installation of this memory chip was basically plug & play. Fortunately, I had initially ordered a computer with one memory chip (one 1 GB chip versus 2 0.5 GB) so I had an open slot. The hardest part was determining which chip I needed. After installation there was a noticable difference in performance. This is the cheapest way to extend the life of a computer. Basically I plugged it in and rebooted and the system recognized the chip.

I ordered a 1 GB 533 PC2-4200 memory board for my Dell Inspiron 6400. I received the package in 3 days. Install was fast and easy. Would do it again.

Bought this for my VAIO laptop VAIO type T VGN-TX52B/B (Japanese). The main memory was only 512MB. After installing the product, it obviously became fast! I am happy with the purchase.

I bought two of these cards because the website for my laptop recommended that I add memory before trying to upgrade the CPU for performance improvement. It did improve performance and my laptop starts up faster and I can have more windows open at the same time. This was a great suggestion. It leaves me wondering how much more memory I will need later.

This memory chip was competitively priced, well-documented, easy to install, and (thus far) fully reliable. Wish my own memory worked this well... Moreoever, it accomplished the reason I bought it in the first place. That was to accelerate a bargain-priced but slow laptop to reasonable speeds.

This has given me a lot more space to store stuff on my computer, but has not given me any more speed. I added memory with intent to add speed and that just didn't happen. I should have investigated a litle more to find the correct memory. Very easy to install!!
