If you get the Taiwan one, return it. The Japan one works very well. If speed doesn't matter, these are both ok.

Kingston (Taiwan)
Write Speed - 3.90 mb/s
Read Speed - 3.95 mb/s

Kingston (Japan)
Write Speed - 10.2 mb/s
Read Speed - 18.9 mb/s

This card wouldn't work right until it was formatted in Windows. I have about 6 MicroSD card readers and only 1 of them would read the card properly so that Windows could format it. I suspect that because of this, most people would just think the card is bad when in fact it's not. Once the card is formatted by Windows it will be readable by all your card readers without issue. Very strange. I blame Kingston as they should have formatted the card properly before packaging them. It was a very frustrating process to get the card working.

Well the card is the correct size as advertised. However the transfer speed is ridiculously slow. I have the Taiwan version of the card, fyi. If you need something even remotely fast, this isn't the product for you.

It fits in my nook, and hasn't exploded yet. What more do you want? It's a fricking memory card. It's not going to change your life or save you from a burning building.

I bought 20 of these for a project and they are all junk. The max data xfer rate is 3M/sec. I have the exact same SD card but it's got a 'made in japan' tag rather that these (made in taiwan). I get 11M/sec with the ones from japan. I've tested 2 of 20 and they are both slow. Going to return the rest.

I've used this for a few years now and have never had any issues. I would buy it again in the future for sure.

The microSD card came with a special microSD to SD converter so that my computer, as well as my microSD phone and my SD camera could all read the same chip. I would recommend something with more capacity such as the microSDHC class, but that does not run with select older devices.
