5.0 out of 5 stars Fast (Class 4) and Reliable
I love these Kingston 8GB microSDHC cards because they are extremely reliable and portable. With a memory card reader (such as this Kingston microSD Card Reader), I am able to use these in lieu of flash drives for storage and backups.

3.0 out of 5 stars The jury is still out
I bought this in order to use the miniSD size in a Canon camera. The camera does not recognize the card when it is in the camera's memory slot - not even to initialize the memory card. I do not know if the camera is faulty or the card ... the jury is still out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast (Class 4) and Reliable, June 12, 2009

This review is from: Kingston 8 GB microSDHC Class 4 Flash Memory Card with SD and miniSD Adapters SDC4/8GB-2ADP (Personal Computers)
I love these Kingston 8GB microSDHC cards because they are extremely reliable and portable. With a memory card reader (such as this Kingston microSD Card Reader), I am able to use these in lieu of flash drives for storage and backups.

Contents
--------
The package comes with a SD Card Adapter, a miniSD Card Adapter, and of course, the 8GB microSDHC card.

- SD Card Adapter
Since SD cards are here to stay, the SD card adapter is a nice inclusion into the package. I use the SD card adapter for my HP IPAQ 111 and my Garmin nüvi 360.

- miniSD Card Adapter
miniSD cards have been phased out, so unless you still possess a device that takes miniSD cards, you most likely won't have any use for it. I personally don't have a device that takes miniSD cards. However, I did find a use for it in my Kingston Mobilelite Memory Card Reader, which has 3 slots - one for a microSD card, one for a miniSD card, and one for a regular SD card. I simply keep my miniSD Card Adapter in my Mobilelite to turn the miniSD slot into an extra microSD slot!

Pros
----
- Fast (Class 4)
The speed of an SD card is rated using three speed classes, namely, class 2, class 4, and class 6 (in order of speed from slowest to fastest).

This SD card is rated class 4 (data transfer rate: 4 MByte/sec, or 32 mbps). Transcend makes one that's rated class 6 (6 MByte/sec, or 48 mpbs). A class 4 SD card is sufficiently fast for the majority of electronics. A decidedly small number of consumer electronics, most notably some high-resolution camcorders and high-end cameras, require a class 6 SD card.

- Reliable
I have used Kingston SD cards for the last couple of years and have found them to be extremely reliable - no faulty cards, or devices failing to recognize the cards. I would caution, however, that these cards are in the microSDHC format (4GB - 32GB), which may not be compatible with older devices that take only microSD cards (2GB and under).

---
These high capacity Kingston Technology microSDHC cards are fast, reliable, and provide plenty of storage and the included adapters come in really handy. You really can't go wrong with them!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good value; perfect for use with DS R4 card, August 13, 2010

This review is from: Kingston 8 GB microSDHC Class 4 Flash Memory Card with SD and miniSD Adapters SDC4/8GB-2ADP (Personal Computers)
I got this to use with our Nintendo DS's with an R4 card that needs a micro SD. The larger capacity of this micro SD card at a great price allows us to hold more movies, music and games on thwe R4 card and get even more fun and value out of our DS's. The multiple card converters allow me to use it in my laptop or desktop to update the micro. Easy to use. working like a charm.

5.0 out of 5 stars Addtional Memory, March 19, 2010
This review is from: Kingston 8 GB microSDHC Class 4 Flash Memory Card with SD and miniSD Adapters SDC4/8GB-2ADP (Personal Computers)
Works beautifully in my Sansa MP3 player. Now I have the extra memory I need to add more than a few hundred songs. Even better, if I decide to buy one with larger memory I can use my current SD mini card in a different device, such as camera, by using one of the adapters. Overall, love the product and look forward to its continued use in the future.

5.0 out of 5 stars As advertized. So much mem for so little cash!, December 18, 2011

This review is from: Kingston 8 GB microSDHC Class 4 Flash Memory Card with SD and miniSD Adapters SDC4/8GB-2ADP (Personal Computers)
I got this for my Coby MP827 8GB mp3 player.
Since I couldn't confirm that the Coby would accept an HC chip, I decided to order it anyway. If it didn't work, I'd simply use it for extra storage for my digital camera. (Which is what happened.)

I used the adapter to turn the micro intro a mini, and it fit perfectly into my camera and performed like a champ.
When I get a normal 8GB SD chip, I'll be reviewing that too, which should help any new owners of the MP827.

I would recommend this chip to anybody who can match it with their needs.

Got this for my phone, works well and once I upgrade my phone, I can use it for my future digital camera! I love that it's so versatile because of the adapters! I can even convert the microSD card with the normal SD adapter and have my laptop read/write information on it! Very quick to transfer information to and from peripheral devices, especially if you don't want to carry your phones or MP3 player or camera's USB cable around to transfer/upload stuff.

Fast and versatile, just my cup of tea!
