Product Description

Kinivo 301BN is a premium quality High speed HDMI Switch for your gaming or home theater setup. It allows for switching upto 3 HDMI inputs into one output and supports resolutions upto 1080p.

Easy plug & play operation
Simply plug in the hdmi input sources into the input connections and the output connection to your TV or projector. 301BN will automatically switch to the currently active input source if there is only one active input. If there are multiple active inputs, then you can select the input either using the IR remote or using the select button on the switch. The HDMI signal from the selected input is passed through to the output HDMI connection.

Quality Picture and Sound
- Automating switching(smart function), IR remote controlled switching or manual switching
- AC powered (Power adapter included) for maximum compatibility
- Supports 3D, HDCP and all other HDMI 1.3 features
- Guaranteed 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480p, and 480i Resolutions
- Works with all HDTVs, Blu-ray players, Xbox 360, PS3 and other HDMI devices
- Helps reduce clutter of HDMI wires being fed into your HDTV
Note: Apple TV keeps its HDMI port active even in the sleep state. Hence, auto-switching may not work with the Apple TV. Manual switching can still be used in this scenario.

I have a pretty high end theater in my basement and recently upgraded to a new JVC RS50 3D projector. Problem for me was that my over $5K Denon 5308ci receiver did not support 3D (well... until September that is!). Sometimes when you own high end gear, read all the trade sites/pubs you convince yourself that money buys compatibility. Well I'm here to tell you after three different "high end" trials of "true 3D matrix switchers" costing anywhere from $150-$350, this $25 device blows all of them away and works as advertised! All of the others failed in every respect, with none of them passing 3D from my new Oppo 93 3D-BD player and only one of them worked with DirecTV. Save your money and buy this little bundle of 3D magic!!

This HDMI switch works very well. I have only been using it for a week, so I cannot give a long term review yet. The set up of the system is very simple. The only problem I had was that one of my older HDMI cables did not work with the system. The cable is good, previously it was my main cable to the TV. But, the system would not function with that particular HDMI cable attached. My advice for this problem is that if the switch does not work, keep it simple and try a different HDMI cable before you assume that the switch is broken.
My current set up with this system is a Sony Blue Ray player, a Sony DVD home theater system and an XBOX 360. All three worked very well with the switch. I have switched between the sources many times, both with the remote and also by turning one system ON or OFF for automatic switching. There is no need to use the remote unless you are switching between multiple sources that are currently ON at the same time.
The sound quality is very good as is the picture quality. Other HDMI switch reviews stated slight sound issue. I have not noticed any.

Just biought a new home and tv is wired over the fireplace. They ran 1 HDMI cable through the wall so easiest way to hook up all my components with one HDMI cord was with this switcher. It automatically switches if you power on DVD player and works great for the DVR and cable box. Can even control it with my Harmony Universal remote control.

Worked perfectly right out of the box. Plugged in Roku3, AppleTV, and XBox 360. Didn't try auto-switching, but setup was painless and worked straight off with my Harmony remote. Video quality is preserved for each device and switching is completely controlled through the Harmony. I would be slightly happier if the bright blue lights could be shut off. They are a bit distracting while watching content in a dark room.

So glad this worked, bought cheaper switches and the PS4 would cause the screen to flash. This is nice equipment and works great with all of my accessories. Wish I would have researched before spending my money on the cheaper stuff, this is what you need.

I had high hopes, as the negative reviews didn't seem to apply to me. I had great success with the device until I tried to send HDCP content through it. My setup consists of an Apple MacBook Pro (retina) with HDMI out, traditionally connected direct to the TV (46" Sony LCD). The moment of truth came when I attempted to play my fresh download of Prometheus from iTunes to the television. Directly connected, no problem. Connected through the 301BN, error message stating that my display doesn't support HDCP and to go find a different display to play it on. So unfortunately this box has to get returned. It says it supports HDCP, but it clearly isn't working correctly. Hope this saves someone out there some trouble.

I bought this switcher to connect XBox to a plasma TV that only has 2 HDMI inputs. This switcher would not transmit audio at all. In addition when I attempted to play a DVD movie on XBox I received a copy right error and the movie wouldn't play. When I removed the switcher from the sequence and connected the XBox directly to the TV it worked fine. Maybe I just got a bad one? I called Amazon and they immediately emailed me a return shipping label with out any problems and I sent the switcher back.

Very good product. Simple to set up, doesn't take much at all. What I liked about this over others was the ability to manually switch locally on the box as well as with the remote controller. I don't have an ultra programmable remote, so I use the one that came with it. It's pretty small - probably close to business card size - so it could easily get lost in the couch if you let it. I have my DVD player hooked into port 1, my cable box in port 2, and a WD TV Live Hub hooked into 3. Since I watch cable more than any of these, it primarily stays switched to port 2. If I want to watch a DVD, I just turn the player on and it auto switches to port 1. My DVD player doesn't kill the HDMI signal when I turn the player off, so I have to manually switch back to port 2. And the cable box is always issuing an HDMI signal, so I always have to switch to port 3 if I want to stream through the WD. Given all of this, I really don't find it to be much of an inconvenience and probably will experience it no matter what product I use. So for the price, functionality, looks, and everything else, I give this product 5 starts.
