I can make any earphone, headphone, or speaker with an auxiliary port a Bluetooth enabled device.

Moreover, because of the problem outlined above I have not used the headphones at all, but today I left my old headphones home from work.

This product was a great solution - it connects flawlessly, sounds good and (so far) has decent battery life.

People are always looking for a way to make their life more convenient. Many of us use our smart device as a media player, but when we are on the go, we don’t want to fumble into our pockets, purse, or backpack to change the song to something that we want to hear. Fortunately, Kinivo has made the BTE40 Bluetooth stereo earphones to suit the common person who want to change their songs without fumbling with their smart device.

Inside the packaging is the BTE Stereo adapter, earphones, micro USB cable, one long 3.5mm cable, one short 3.5 mm cable and one user manual. My initial reaction is that I thought this was only good for adding headphones or earphones when wanting to hear music, but when I saw both 3.5mm auxiliary cables, I realized that this would be a great device in my vehicle. My vehicle doesn’t have Bluetooth, but now it is possible because of this device.

This device includes one long auxiliary cord (51 inches) and one short auxiliary cord (7 inches). The auxiliary cords are each rounded with gold plated connectors. The casing of the connector is hard plastic, which ensures that these cords are durable and good quality. The small auxiliary cord would be nice if the connection is very close and the large auxiliary cord would be a hindrance. I would personally use the large cords more often with my speakers because I wouldn’t want to have any chance of tugging on the connector.

The included earphones are 32 inches from connector to earphone. The connector is gold plated and has the same durable casing as the auxiliary cords. The cord length between connector and Y connector is 11.5 inches. The Y connector is rubber, and a little larger than a half inch. From the Y connector, the cord length to earphones are 10.25 inches (Left Side) and 19 inches (Right Side).

I bought this after trying a friend's (more expensive) Ericsson bluetooth headphones. The range is good, although the signal does start to break up at about 20 feet whereas the Ericsson's could receive all over my house. It pairs up nicely with both my phone and my laptop. It works well for the voice commands on the Galaxy S3. The earbuds have a bit of background hiss, but nothing too bad. Especially since I use it mostly for spoken word rather than music. A battery charge will last a few days with me listening for a couple hours a day, It would be better if I could be more consistent about powering it down at night.

All in all, there may be better performing adapters, but for the price I'm very happy with this one.

This little device packs a punch! First of all, it's very well designed and comes with an assortment of different ear bud pieces. The sound is "HUGE" for such a small devices. It's stereo Bluetooth, so you get awesome audio! It has an integrated microphone, so it works great for video conferencing, phone calls, etc. This device will pit with most any Bluetooth-compatible device. So far I have used it in conjunction with an Apple MacBook Air, iPad and iPhone. I could not be happier with the performance of the device and the ease-of-setup. The battery life is absolutely incredible and it charges with an included USB cable. Please feel free to check out my review with more pictures, etc. at goo.gl/avGAt1

This is terrific! A great job done by Kinivo in creating something portable, simple, and useful! This is genuinely one of those products that I use every day and the simplicity has really impressed me. The BTE40 has made my life much simpler.

Packaging includes:
+ BTE40 bluetooth transmitter: easy on/off switch and elevated control buttons clearly marked. It's small, the size of a stick of 5pack of gum or even smaller. Built in clip attaches to clothing easily.
+ Shortened earbuds in which one earbud wraps behind the head. It's a nice design and they work well enough. They produce solid sound but don't knock my socks off with rich highs/lows or quality bass/treble. They get the job done and come included with the headset though.
+ Longer 3.5mm Aux cable
+ Shorter 3.5mm Aux cable
+ MicroUSB recharging cable

Pros:
+ Works terrific! Easy pairing and works immediately. It can be paired to two bluetooth devices at the same time, too! This is really convenient if I'm studying in a coffee shop and switching back and forth between my laptop to watch a video or my phone to listen to music. Don't ask me why I don't just listen to music on my laptop... I've got my reasons (even if they're stupid)
+ Battery indicator for the BTE40 pops up when you link it to our bluetooth device. So my iPhone shows the battery life left in the BTE40 when I'm using it! That's cool!
+ Easily identified controls allow for bluetooth device control device
+ Compact, portable size and lightweight design make this a great traveling companion.
+ Earbud design lets you keep on earbud in without the other dangling around to drag down the one you have in your ear
+ Accepts ANY 3.

Kinivo is one of thousands of small up-and-coming electronics companies trying to make their footprint in the lucrative consumer electronics industry. Their miniature Bluetooth speaker, the ZX100, has allowed them to gain a foothold in the market and release other electronics, such as the BTE40 Bluetooth earbuds, ($30 on Amazon) one of their newest offerings.

The earbuds, come in a plain box with a picture of the Bluetooth adapter on the front. Inside are the earbuds, an instruction booklet, charging cable, the Bluetooth adapter, and two gold-plated auxiliary cables, are packaged in the box in hard plastic. I'm not quite sure what the auxiliary cables are used for, and their function is not mentioned in the instructions. I was able to operate the earbuds without them. I liked the feel of the earbuds and the Bluetooth adapter. The earbuds have a full-metal body, and the adapter was of durable, matte-finished plastic with a solid metal clip that you can pin to your shirt on the back of it.

Directly plugged into my phone, the earbuds sounded like similarly-priced earbuds. Bass was slightly muddy and at the forefront of the music. Using the earbuds wirelessly via Bluetooth, however, bass became intensely muddy and surfaced over the rest of the sounds. If you're a huge bass fan it may actually sound good, but I personally did not enjoy it and found myself turning up the volume so that I could hear vocals that had been pushed to the background by the tyrannous bass. It doesn't make sense to me why I experienced so much distortion in sound quality since the Bluetooth version that runs the adapter is Version 4.0, one of the latest. Fortunately, the design of the adapter enables you to plug in any variety of earbuds, not just the ones that come with the device.
