Book Description

March 30, 2004
KINK features titillating, outrageous short fiction by kings of kink and erotica: M. Christian, Jack Fritscher, Ian Phillips, Jeff Mann, Greg Wharton, Doug Harrison, Jay Neal, Dominic Santi, Sxuldev8, Jay Starre, and others. Kink by definition is that which relates to eccentric, fetishistic sexual practices. Gay erotic literature explored the best known gambits, but one man’s vanilla can still be considered kink to many. KINK delivers wild-ass stories that develop the connection and motivation for the characters in the scene with a fresh perspective. Included are compelling narratives of foodsex, phonesex, musclebear prisonsex, dental blood, enemas, scat, piss, doublefucking, fisting and dildo initiation, mudsex, bestiality, crucifixion, sex in costumes, plenty of BDSM (bondage / discipline / sadomasochism), and a dungeonful more.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Polite Introduction To The Far Side of Sex, October 17, 2011

This review is from: Kink (Paperback)
Some learn by doing, some learn by observation and still others discover by reading. It is to this last group that Kink appeals. The stories within this slyly clever book each illustrate some facet of sex-principally homosexual but there are certainly heterosexual applications-that may not be widely known or, if it is, isn't widely practiced or discussed. The stories themselves are well crafted and present their contribution to the world of kink in a way that makes it seem-almost-normal for to some of these practitioners, it is normal. How others may view it is of no concern to the various authors who are there to present their speciality, have it demonstrated and then step back to let the reader decide for his or herself what reaction they have. To the sexually involved, these will come as pleasant reminders of something once done but now less so and for those looking for something they've not tried, this is a good overview with no damage done.

The men in these stories are quite ordinary people save for their one or two kinks. They are not presented as strange, weird, bizarre, perverted as they are not any of those. What they are is men with similar interests and singular tastes. Think of this book as a meeting place where there are booths manned by people anxious for you to know about what it is they're representing. You're under no pressure to buy or even try before you buy. But this cleverly done and arranged book will certainly leave you relaxed on various topics that, heretofore, may have seemed obscene or "too weird or freaky" to try. Here is a selection of men neither weird nor freaking trying out some of those thing and, apparently, liking them. All it takes is an open mind to thoroughly enjoy the book which is as amusing as it is informative

2.0 out of 5 stars Standard gay porn and erotica, November 9, 2007

(VINE VOICE)
This review is from: Kink (Paperback)
The editors, Paul J. Willis and Ron Jackson, claim that the stories in this collection "chronicle unfamiliar aspects of desire and lust." Frankly if anyone is familiar at all with any thing beyond the reproductive model of sex, I find it difficult to believe that the stories really live up to that claim. Of the stories in this collection, fewer than half, 7 in all, had characters that touched me on some level, making me want to reread the story. Most of the stories are written in the first person, the common point of view for much porn though not for most fiction. Given the point of view there is ample opportunity to help the reader connect deeply with the main character and yet most of the story fail. If you want a wide range of kinks and are only interested in the sex, then this collection may be just want you want. If you want more, I suggest you look elsewhere because there is some very high quality gay male SM fiction on the market.
