Works very well, although at max setting it is still a bit wimpy (but, see below). Seems to be nicely made. Oddly, it has a very large effect on dimmers in the area...My lights can flicker as I change its' power settings. If you want to really enjoy it, add the optional body pad (or I suppose you could make one). That changes things so that any/all other metal toys brought near your "subject" become the sparking agent (including your own body, like your fingers), and it raises the shock level enormously. With the pad placed against/under My "subject", and a metal tool in My hand (e.g., a Wartenburg wheel), I really can't turn it up more than about 1/4 way without it being too high.
Great fun at a price waaaay below a Violet Wand. Oh, BTW, I guess the reason they call it "Neon Wand, Red" is that the neon tubes on this version glow red, not violet.
