After watching this energetic set from Kinky Friedman and his band, you will fully understand why the folks at Austin City Limits chose not to broadcast it into the Great American Heartland. Not for the humor-impaired!

You probably already know that Kinky's LfA performance was never aired on tv,
deemed too risque or racist. So it's out now, probably because Kinky's name is becoming more of a household word, especially in Texas, since he's run for Governer twice, and lastly for Agricultural Commissioner. Unfortunately, he lost all those elections. But perhaps that will give him more time to write more novels! LOVE his books! The audience watching him is almost as interesting as his performance! He's got some outstanding musicans playing with him. This is a keeper - to watch once in a while for a Kink fix. |
