Dennis Geiger has worked as a psychologist for over thirty years providing services to persons with serious mental health issues. He is the author of Kinzua State: Earthshine and maintains a part-time private practice in Warren, Pennsylvania as a licensed psychologist.
Dennis Geiger was born on December 12, 1946 in Allentown,Pa. After high school, he completed two years in the U.S. Army before starting college. Finally attaining a Ph.D. at the University of Virgina in 1976, Dennis began a 30 year career working as a psychologist with the seriously mentally ill at Warren State Hospital in Warren,Pa. He retired from the hospital in 2007 but has maintained his private practice as a licensed psychologist. He began writing his Kinzua State novels as a means of advocating for the mentally ill in their journey to recover their dignity and self-determination. Along with his wife Diamond of 38 years, Dennis enjoys gardening and serving in community organizations.
