Even though I do work in finance, sometimes I find it helpful if the salient points are highlighted versus reading a treatise. Bodnar's book provided that level of structure and clarity without losing itself in details. No matter what stage in your life meaning retirement, working, getting hitched, considering starting a family, or taking a work breather, there are suggestions available. Moreover, knowing how to approach aging parents with possible live-in care or nursing home needs are addressed as well.

For those that prefer the pencil and paper tally method, Bodnar's provides an outline that can be easily repopulated in an excel spreadsheet. For the more adventurous, she recommends affordable software programs.

I imagine that this guide will prove a helpful reference as I navigate each stage of my financial health and security.

Great book. Very informative. I first checked this book out at the library, and realized I wanted to highlight some things in the book, but couldn't until I got my own copy. So I was excited when this came in. Love it, and would recommend it to any one (men and women).
