It seems like people either hate or love this game. If you're looking for fast-paced action adventure, in the traditional Kirby-style with Kirby characters, look somewhere else! This is a puzzle game, through and through, but it's an interesting and fun one. Basically, any arrangement of four similarly colored blobs will eliminate them. The blobs are really cute; they look at each other when they're put together; it's like they're social or something. The Kirby characters do show up in the game, but they're really more of a gimmick than anything else. If you're smart enough to not get hung up on that, though, you'll never get sick of this game. It's not repetitive, and it's deceptively challenging; in short, it's a lot of fun. I highly recommend it.

I love this game so much. It's seems simple, but once you get to the higher levels it can be hard. It's a lot of fun, and even gives your brain a workout. I'd play this game instead of modern video games any day.

Best Kirby Game Ever!!,
A Kid's Review

This has to be the best kirby game ever. If you thought that Dr. Robotniks Mean Bean Machine was fun you have to try Kirby's Avalanche. This is one of them brain games that you don't see very much. Over all this game is great and should be owned by everyone that has a Super Nintendo Entertainment System!!!!

I don't like this Kirby game at all! Its boring sometimes frustrating and i thought Kirby didn't know English. I looked it up on the internet on The Kirby Wiki and found out sadly it was made by Americans and not the person who actually made Kirby. For people that love Tetris and the game Avalanche might like this game but i don't.

Kirby's Avalanche, Mean Bean Machine....whatever you call it.,

Kirby's Avalanche is actually a puzzle game rather than your average platformer. It's actually based off of the Japanese video game puzzle series, Puyo Puyo. In fact, it's just like that, but covered in a Kirby theme.
Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine also did this exact same thing, but with a Sonic theme instead. The main game is connecting 3 of the same color. It's as simple and addicting as Tetris and Columns. There's a VS mode, a Training mode (Which is like playing solo in Tetris), and a Story mode. All of the modes are very fun and you can just keep playing them until you're dead tired of puzzle games. The puzzling gameplay is pretty addicting, and it is still a fun game to this day.

best kirby and puzzle game ever,

I have played many kirby and puzzle games. Second best kirby game is kirby all stars, second best puzzle game might be chuzzle deluxe.
This game consists on throwing rocks to your rival, so that he gets full of them and loses. Of course, he tries to do the same to you. The first one who gets full of rocks and blobs loses, and to throw rocks to the rival you must destroy the blobs, which do so when you get together at least four of the same color. So far is just a great game, what makes it the best kirby and puzzle game ever is the fact that you have to THINK how to make chain reactions, that is, make the blobs from different colors explode one after the other. If you do so, the punishment (i.e. amount of rocks thrown) to your adversary will increase exponentially (geometrically, to be technically precise). Plus, the higher (or longer) the chain reaction you make, you will hear a different voice sound: for two, it's YEAH; for three, EXCELLENT; for four, WATCH OUT; for five, HERE COMES; for six, THE AVALANCHE!!! (which gives the title of the game). Finally, for seven, the voice says GOOD NIGHT; although with one WATCH OUT or several EXCELLENTs is enough to beat your opponent. This game should be considered a sport just as chess as it required the same level of thinking, or at least have international contest of it. That good is this game for me.

I have owned this game for the longest time, and have to say that anyone complaining should have at least did some research on the game they were buying.
Before I knew that this was a Puyo Puyo spin-off, I have to say that I was desperate to find a sequel, and could not stop playing! This game is a simple puzzle game, for those who like a decent challenge (The AI is well done). I would definitely recommend, and encourage everyone to also look up Puyo Puyo for gameplay. P.S. - I bought one of these and a SNES for my Mom's Birthday, now we can both enjoy the nostalgia of 2 player...

kirby's AVALANCHE?,

Kirby's avalanche is one of those spin-offs like mario paint or pokemon puzzle leauge. I bought this game because I had and "fc twin" which can play NES and SNES games (It's not offacial) and all I had for it were two NES games, super mario bros. and the legend of zelda. When I read on wikipedia it coulden't play kirby super star I was pretty disapointed so one day when I was looking for kirby SNES games I came across this. After reading reviews and watching videos on google video, It reminded me of tetris but with cute blobs. I wanted a SNES game. I wanted a kirby game. I wanted a tetris-style game. I wanted a game with cute blobs. And finnaly, I wanted a 4-dollar game (XD). So I bought it!
Now for the gameplay. This is how you play: Different colored blobs will fall down in pairs; you must have four of the same color (or more) attached by having them fall to the ground or each other. When this happens, they will explode (not like a bomb, they'll just kinda go "poof") If they fill to the top, the game is over and you can retry the level you were on. The main way to win is to get chain reaction where a set of blobs explode, the different colored pair on top of it will fall down on to more blobs of its clolor, causing them to explode as well and on and on. When you do this, gray blobs will fall in your oppontens side of the screen (depending on how much chain reactions you cause) the only way to get rid of gray blobs is to explode blobs next to them. The ones the explosion was next to will dissapear. The controls are bassicly the same as tetris. .On the start menu, you have the choice of playing "competition", "1P VS. 2P "(Two player mode, player one versus player two) "Practice", and "options". Competition is where you have a chioce of choosing "learning stage" which is only 3 easy levels, "normal, which starts you off at the beginning, or hard, which is about three enemies later after normal. How it works is you start playing one computer, and keep on advancing. practice is self-explanatory but I'll tell you how it works anyway. You choose a diffuculty and play alone (actually a two player can play if he or she wants to, but this is beside the point) when you get a game over, you can restart. Then there's versus. whoever has there blobs get to the top, thus losing, first, will lose. Then you can rematch or quit. finnaly, there's options. This most likley the coolest options screen iv'e seen. You can change the controls, listen to all of the music and sound effects in the game, etc. All in all, its a good game, just challening.

Not a kirby game!!!,

This is not a kirby game. It is another puzzle game like tetris but not as fun. It is exactly like a game i have on my computer called "candy crisis".... But kirby charecters unstead of candy falling down. What u do is match the objects up and try not to over flow the placement. It gives u two different objects at once and u make sure u match the things falling up to what is on the ground which u can move them over or turn them in different directions to match them. I like the original kirby on the nes so i tried this one and its just a puzzle game. I like all of the other kirby games better because they have a story.

this game is so boring, don't get confused this is nothing like the other kirby games. It's in the style of tetris. and it gives tetris a bad name. This was a disapointment.
If you liked this game check out all of the other kirby games |
