I am a huge fan of kirby. the first kirby game i got was kirbys dreamland 2. i decided i had to get the first one. it only took me 30 minutes to beat it, but it was awesome and addicting. after you beat the game you get hard mode, and i havent beaten that yet. the levels are good but sometimes get complicated. the hardest one is bubbly clouds (stage 4). If you are a kirby fan or collector, then get this, Youll love it.

This game is a very fun game, with easy and simple controls.I'd give it a 5 if it weren't so easy.If you have a small child who likes easy games, this is a good choice for him/her.But don't degrade this as a little kids game, because it's fun for everyone-Even video game pros who can beat megaman blinfolded.Because in the end,you get a hard mode, which is,well, harder.
Awesome game.

Kirby's first ever game is a decent one. It's a 2D sidescroller, five levels in length. It was designed to be easy so anyone could finish it. Entering a special button code will unlock Extra Mode, which is much more difficult.

Kirby can't copy the abilities of his enemies in this game. Also note that the "Spring Breeze" subgame in Kirby Super Star (SNES) is a touched-up but shorter version of this game, so if you have either Super Star or the DS remake of Super Star, owning this game is a bit redundant.

They had to start somewhere. So they started here. Honestly, this is no where near the level of fun that other Kirby games provide. But it is still fun none the less. This game is missing one key feature that most Kirby games after it have. The ability to steal the enemies power ups. But let me reiterate my previous statement. This is still fun none the less. To be honest, I would recommend this to anyone trying to learn how to play older games. Here are three reason why this should definitely be in your collection today.

The gameplay. If you have never played a Kirby game before let me explain the basics of most Kirby games. In most games you control a pink little ball that can steal the enemies power ups or use the enemies as ammo. In this game you can still use the enemies as ammo but you can not steal their abilities. You can jump for as long as the heart desires by gasping in a breath of air. All the enemies are silly and the bosses are quite easy and have a pattern to them. That is one flaw to this game. It's easy. you can beat it in one sitting. This might be one of the easiest games that has a famous Nintendo protagonist is it. But it is entertaining and worth the price of admission.

The control. The controls in this game are about as fluent as they come. Kirby game are known for having fantastic controls. This is no exception. this is really a highlight of this game.

Monumental personality. They had to start somewhere. If you have played a Kirby game you know that they have a large personality to them. Everything is goofy and comedic. Fans of the series (like me) love that. This game is again no exception.

Kirby's white? What? Due to the graphical limitations of the Gameboy Kirby could not be pink in on the Gameboy.

Kirby's Dream Land is Kirby's first game. It was released for the Nintendo Game Boy in 1992. Its been over 22 years since then. Is Kirby's Dream Land still an excellent game? Lets see......

Kirby is different in this game. He is described as a ''Roly-Poly Hero''. He is also not a Kirby. Instead, he is a Boy.

Nintendo of America was confused about Kirby's color, so they made white instead of pink( though in Japan he was still pink ).

The plot isn't bad. I won't spoil anything though.

There are 5 Levels:
Green Greens: The first level. Simple and fun.
Castle Lololo: A castle. It has a lot of secret areas to find and explore in. This is what makes this area the best.
Float Islands: A level with a Pirate Ship and a Cave.
Bubbly Clouds: A maze area.
Mt. Dedede: Where the Final Boss lives.

You can unlock some Modes. I won't spoil anything.

For those new to Kirby:
Kirby's Dream Land is a game for those new to platformers. Super Mario Bros. too hard? Try this.
Kirby attacks by eating enemies and spitting them at others( but he can swallow ).

Other Notes:
Theres no Copy Abilities. They were introduced in Kirby's Adventure.
Your scores aren't saved.
For more details, be sure to buy the Kirby's Dream Land Manual.

Kirby's Dream Land has enough great content to be fun. I also recommend other Kirby Games.

Kirby's Dream Land Well, I could get this for free, but it would be easier to play and beat. I found a way you can make it harder. Here's what to do. First, hold the select,B, and up on the control pad. Then, go and click left until you get to 1 bar of life and 1 life. If you have one hit you wil get a game over

I was actually trying to go and get this earlier, but I used up my Amazon money for other games and stuff. And now that it's 3DS e-Shop re-release is available on Club Nintendo for only 100 coins (If you don't know about Club Nintendo, I suggest you join and see what it's about. It's a great service), I was able to go and nab this classic at ease.

So, Kirby is known as a pink blob that sucks things up and copies enemy abilities, right? Well, here, since it IS the first Kirby game, you don't get to obtain enemy powers whatsoever. You'll be happy to know, however, that it doesn't affect the platforming experience badly at all. In fact, Kirby's Dream Land as a whole is spectacular.

The graphics are some of the best I've ever seen on a Game Boy game, and the music is very upbeat and fun to listen to. To top it all off, the gameplay is thrilling. It's unlike what you've dealt with in other Nintendo classics like Mario. Not only do you run and jump, but you can eat enemies, and spit them out at others! Oh, and you can fly! There are also some cool gimmicks, like shooting fire after collecting SuperSpicey Curry for a short period of time, and being able to fly and shoot out puff clouds during one of the bosses, in a similar fashion to shooters like Gradius.

The only issue with this game is that it is pretty short. There are only 5 levels, with the 5th level being composed of bosses that you've previously fought, as well as King Dedede, the final boss. But just because a game is short doesn't mean it's bad. And this game is excellent.

Unlike Kirby 64 and Kirby's Dream Land 3, this game is not totally easy, as there's surprisingly a bit of challenge here. Plus, the music sounds best here.
