kirbys awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Kirby's Dream Land (Game Cartridge)
I am a huge fan of kirby. the first kirby game i got was kirbys dreamland 2. i decided i had to get the first one. it only took me 30 minutes to beat it, but it was awesome and addicting. after you beat the game you get hard mode, and i havent beaten that yet. the levels are good but sometimes get complicated. the hardest one is bubbly clouds (stage 4). If you are a kirby fan or collector, then get this, Youll love it.

This game is a very fun game, with easy and simple controls.I'd give it a 5 if it weren't so easy.If you have a small child who likes easy games, this is a good choice for him/her.But don't degrade this as a little kids game, because it's fun for everyone-Even video game pros who can beat megaman blinfolded.Because in the end,you get a hard mode, which is,well, harder.Awesome game.

Ironically, this was my second Kirby game that i brought. The first Kirby game i had brought was Dreamland 2. Even though it's the easiest game in my Video Game library, it's still great. I've played it several times and yet, i'm not yet bored of the game. It was basic and all, yet great. Ya see, i have a policy about games. Every vacations (winter midwinter, summer, regents week, etc, i replay all of my gameboy games (old and new) that way, i won't be bored, and i wouldn't be neglecting them. The graphics and the music i felt were good and the gameplay was average.

I don't know who the idiot is, and don't care! Who ever gave this only 2 stars is an idiot and not really a fan of Kirby or a real gamer! This is truly the greatest Kirby game! I especially love the main charater. A rolly poley little marsh mellow! He is the perfect example of a boy who is willing to risk all to help others! I love the music too! With its upeat tunes keep you entertained the whole way! The storyline is cute too! Anybody eho love Kirby should get this!

Kirby's first ever game is a decent one. It's a 2D sidescroller, five levels in length. It was designed to be easy so anyone could finish it. Entering a special button code will unlock Extra Mode, which is much more difficult.
Kirby can't copy the abilities of his enemies in this game. Also note that the "Spring Breeze" subgame in Kirby Super Star (SNES) is a touched-up but shorter version of this game, so if you have either Super Star or the DS remake of Super Star, owning this game is a bit redundant.

I was actually trying to go and get this earlier, but I used up my Amazon money for other games and stuff. And now that it's 3DS e-Shop re-release is available on Club Nintendo for only 100 coins (If you don't know about Club Nintendo, I suggest you join and see what it's about. It's a great service), I was able to go and nab this classic at ease. So, Kirby is known as a pink blob that sucks things up and copies enemy abilities, right? Well, here, since it IS the first Kirby game, you don't get to obtain enemy powers whatsoever. You'll be happy to know, however, that it doesn't affect the platforming experience badly at all. In fact, Kirby's Dream Land as a whole is spectacular. The graphics are some of the best I've ever seen on a Game Boy game, and the music is very upbeat and fun to listen to. To top it all off, the gameplay is thrilling. It's unlike what you've dealt with in other Nintendo classics like Mario. Not only do you run and jump, but you can eat enemies, and spit them out at others! Oh, and you can fly! There are also some cool gimmicks, like shooting fire after collecting SuperSpicey Curry for a short period of time, and being able to fly and shoot out puff clouds during one of the bosses, in a similar fashion to shooters like Gradius. The only issue with this game is that it is pretty short. There are only 5 levels, with the 5th level being composed of bosses that you've previously fought, as well as King Dedede, the final boss. But just because a game is short doesn't mean it's bad. And this game is excellent. Unlike Kirby 64 and Kirby's Dream Land 3, this game is not totally easy, as there's surprisingly a bit of challenge here. Plus, the music sounds best here. Anyways, if you happen to own a Game Boy, a GB Color, or a GB Advance, this is definitely one game to play. Heck, you should buy it on the e-Shop for your Nintendo 3DS (If you own one), or go to Club Nintendo and get this without using actual money (Though this offer will last until the 31st)!

I've been anxiously waiting for this to arrive in mail today and planned to have hours of entertainment but beat it in 30 minutes. This is the first Kirby game on the Game Boy which is not only short in length but falls short of expectations from a Kirby game. Unlike all Kirby games, this fellow cannot absorb enemies' powers which beats the purpose of a Kirby game. Regardless it is still enjoyable and you'll encounter familiar foes and landscapes from other Kirby installments. This is still another must have for a Game Boy collector despite the short length.

Kirby made his short and sweet debut on the Game Boy,

Kirby made his short and sweet debut on the Game Boy in 1992 with Kirby's Dream Land. At the same time, a new Nintendo franchise was born. Before he was a cute, pink puff ball he was just a plain old white ghost looking ball who had to rescue his homeland from the clutches of his nemesis, King Dedede. While the Kirby games were better efforts, the first one proved there was something about him and his platform game that was simple and fun. Kirby's Dream Land lets you control Kirby through 5 stages filled with enemies, pitfalls and spikes. Kirby can inhale his enemies and either swallow them or spit them out at other enemies. He can also pick up health power ups and 1-ups to help stay in the game. At the end of each stage, you face off against a boss and use a simple pattern strategy to beat it. Kirby can inhale his enemies and either swallow them or spit them out at other enemies. He can also pick up health power ups and 1-ups to help stay in the game. The PROS: A platform game that didn't star Mario would normally mean it wasn't going to be good. This isn't the case with Kirby's Dream Land. From the bright and crisp graphics to the pleasant music and solid controls, this game pleased anyone who managed to play it from beginning to end. Nintendo knew they had a hit by keeping things simple for the time being and for that, it's a game that is fun to play. The CONS: With only 5 stages, it's over before you know it. And while you had to beat it in one shot (no passwords, save system or continues here), it wasn't a hard game at all. It was short and sweet but fun at the same time. Millions of copies were sold and only prompted Nintendo to make sequels, which were better efforts overall. So if you're curious about where Kirby started out and you have yet to play this game, search for a used copy and pop it into your Game Boy. You won't regret it.

This is a really fun Kirby game especially for beginners. It has 5 levels: Green Greens Haunted Castle Lololo Float island bubbly clouds and Mount Dedede. Its the easiest game i ever played but, still for some reason its a really fun game! Its challenging for children about from age 4-8 but, this game is fun for everyone even for people that can beat Megaman with a hand tied behind there back and blind folded. This is a really fun game and great price so i recommend you buying it.

Extremely fun game. As a kid I was jealous of my friends that had the game when i first played it. I eventually got it for my birthday. Played it many times through. Only weakness is that there is no save option.
