5.0 out of 5 stars Creative ideas for experienced and inexperienced card makers, May 15, 2000
By A Customer
As someone who is always looking for new ideas in cardmaking, I found this book to be useful. The cards are easier to make than they appear to be. Some designs are more intricate and may take a bit more time to master. But there is a nice range of projects for cardmakers of all levels.

5.0 out of 5 stars Paper cutting book with many interesting projects, April 29, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The book begins by showing the various tools needed for kirigami as well as several examples of paper to use. There were then a number of pages showing basic techniques and defining terms. The "typology of folds" showed a variety of different cuts. This was very interesting and would begin to influence what specifically you wanted to accomplish. The section titled "work phases" shows in detail what the steps would be to complete a project. "Handy tips" has helpful suggestions such as what to do if you have a cut in the wrong place or prolong a cut more than necessary (no, you don't just start over). After this, there are 6 chapters on making kirigami pieces (with pictures of each) and then a section of patterns(most of which need to be blown up to the right size). My favorite patterns were "A Three-Fold Model," "Paysage De Noel" (which would make a great Christmas card), and the entire section on Architecture (my favorite chapter). All in all, this book has many interesting kirigami projects. I would definitely recommend this title.
