If you have never ventured into Gospel Music ~ this CD will take you there. The songs on this CD are more than moving. They will take you to the wonderment of true gospel. The Choir that backs Mr. Franklin sound like Angels singing from Heaven back to Earth....it is truely a experience I wish all to hear and feel. With all Kirk Franklin's music "emotion" is a factor ~ it is feelings that can only be explained in a higher place ~ the lyrics, the song's, the music is incredible.

Why We Sing is a song that will touch you Forever.

Pennies from Heaven is a song too - that will take you there.

DO YOU WANT A GREAT FEELING? LISTEN TO THIS CD. IT IS EVEN BETTER WHEN YOU ARE UPSET ABOUT SOMETHING. I LISTEN TO IT EVERY TIME MY HUSBAND HAVE TO PULL 24 HOURS DUTY AND EVERY TIME I SEE SOLDIER STANDING OUT IN THE RAIN, WIND AND SNOW PROTECTING US!!

This is the must have Kirk Franklin CD to add to your gospel collection. Even though it came out over 10 years ago, this is still my favorite CD of his. As much as I am a Kirk Franklin fan, this is the one that I can listen to straight through without using the skip button. If you don't have it, get it. If you already have it, listen and enjoy it again.

I stumbled up on this album when I was feeling blue and needed some direction. I grew up with this "character" and was quite surprised at seeing his album in the gospel section. This "character" turned out to be a REAL friend. His music woke me up out of the depression I was in and started me on my way. I've always wondered why I liked to sing and why it came to me so naturally. Kirk explained it completely and freely. Many congrats, my friend.

These songs will give you the motivation you need to keep on this narrow road that we as lovers of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ has chosen to take. and Kirk are the real news...12 years after the fact.
To say that this material has stood the test of a decade would be gross understatement. The arrangements are outstanding, harmonies phat and tight.
Fun as the newer hip hop material is (through which I discovered the earlier work), Kirk is so solidly a proponent of the original idiom... as well as an extension of it.
Wow.The first and last cuts on the CD are the ones that I play over and over.
I haven't used them up yet.

This is an absolutely amazing album, the song Till we meet again is a real tear jerker, Silver& Gold a real praise song, Why We Sing my all time favourite song. Speak to me is a real island flavoured song.

I first heard my sister's copy of this CD after that I simply had to have my own copy. Every song on this CD was a hit. I loved the last song most of all there have been times in my life that listening to this song has moved me to tears. I have listened to all the CDs until he broke off and went on his own but this was the very first and perhaps the very best.

THIS IS A GOOD CD IF YOU LIKE OLD TIME HASION TIME CHURCHIN.
