Don't be fooled, if you think your getting an album of new music your not, however you are getting a great collection of Kirk Franklin's songs that I'm sure has brought many of us through our storms. There is also one new song on this album called "Look at me now". I have to admit when I first heard this song I didn't not like it at all. Then I listened to it again and have been touched by it every since. It's a very upbeat song that gives the statement "I been through alot of things in my life, but look at me now, look where God has brought me from". I get joy everytime I hear this song and think about those things. Great collection of old classics and a new song that is sure to keep you praising. For Kirk Franklin fans, this is a must have!

Krik Franklin / Songs from the Storm / Volume 1 : This CD does NOT contain Franklin's "Hits". This is music for and of the traditional Black Church, but contains Franklins semi-traditional new-groove songs, but many of these have previously been released. There are lots of uplifting songs here and a few not-so great ones, but it is a solid Four Star effort.

I am normally not a Kirk Franklin fan; I suggest this music because it is great for meditation or just quiet and down time.

Kirk Franklin has got to be one of the greatest Gospel performers of all time. Never a dull moment and always in His Presence !! Hallelujah ! Be Blessed !

This cd inspires me so much!I am so happy I took a chance and bought it.I bought some as gifts for people.This is one spirit filled recording.I highly recommend it,if you want to be lifted up!

All songs but one were previously issued, but it's the theme that matters. Many songs on this album can relate to the storms in your life. And how God got you through them. That's Kirk Franklin's message.

As I approach the celebration of my 2nd year anniversary of being cancer-free, Kirk Franklin's Songs For The Storm Volume I have truly blessed my soul. What most people don't understand about having cancer, is that being in remission is just as difficult as actually going through chemotherapy and radiation treatments. It has been a daily struggle for me. Yes, not only are there physical changes (like hair and weight loss), but there is also a loss of your spirit and your mind. However, this CD has carried me through some very tough days...He Will Take The Pain Away, Conquerors, Blessing In The Storm, The Storm Is Over Now and Look At Me Now are my favorites. I also bought a copy for one of my sister's, who is also my best friend. She lives over 3,000 miles away from me and was very distraught that she could not be with me while I was going through my storm. We have both been blessed and encouraged tremendously! Thank you Kirk!
