I've been using CoQ10 for some time now as an energy booster, as recommended by my acupuncturist (don't dismiss the value of acupuncture until you've tried it.) He explained that the statin prescribed by my physician depletes some naturally occurring enzymes and that was probably the reason for my fatigue. Ran the idea past both my primary physician and cardiologist. Both agreed it was worth trying and should do no harm. There's been a marked improvement in my energy level and stamina since using CoQ10. The main difference between this particular product, ordered through Amazon, and that I had been buying at the drug store is price. Actually, price is the only difference I can see. I'm saving a ton of money here and getting the same good effect.

I have tried several brands of COq10 mainly for heart palpitations. I've tried Vitaline chewable (Enzymatic Therapy), Now Foods Brand, Jarrow Formulas and now this brand. Each time trying to find the best price and dosage. Of course the Vitaline brand is the brand they did the studies with I think but it's very expensive. The Now Foods brand made my palpitations disappear and I think I felt a little more energy taking them but the palpitations were my main goal. The Jarrow Brand was okay but not as good, didn't feel as strong, the Kirkland brand hasn't helped them much at all. Alot of positive reviews about this product though so maybe give them a try for yourself just to see. It's a really good price for the amount and dosage you get. I liked the ingredients too, just wish they would have worked better for me. It might be my body that reacts to the other brands better.

I bought this for my mom, a senior, not realizing the size of the capsules. I consider this an excellent size for younger people, but will purchase the smaller caps for her in future. My mother takes statins for cholesterol. Statins deplete the natural levels of CoQ10 in the body, which makes this an essential supplement.

I have never had a problem with Kirkland brand products. I consider this just a matter of choice and convenience. Some stores that carry this brand are pretty hardnosed about quality. So far, so good.Kirkland CoQ10 Coenzyme 300 mg - 75 Softgels

Here is a side-by-side comparison of ten Ubiquinone CoQ10 supplements: Nutrigold CoQ10, Doctor's Best High Absorption CoQ10 (120 gel caps), Doctor's Best High Absorption CoQ10 Vegetable Capsules (60 capsules), Now Foods CoQ10, Jarrow Formulas Q-Absorb Co-Q10, Qunol Ultra CoQ10, Nature Made Ubiquinone CoQ10, Nature's Way CoQ10, TruNature Coenzyme CoQ10, and Kirkland CoQ10 (75 count). All of these are Ubiquinone, not Ubiquinol, products.

So, what is Ubiquinone, how does it differ from Ubiquinol, and how are they related to CoQ10?

CoQ10 is a nutrient that is said to have profound effects on our levels of energy, stamina, organ health, and immune system functionality. CoQ10 comes in two forms: Ubiquinone and Ubiquinol. Ubiquinone (also known as Ubidecarenon) is more common and widely known because it is the form most commonly sold commercially. Ubiquinone is the completely oxidized form of CoQ10. When taken, this supplement is actually metabolized within our bodies where it becomes Ubiquinol. Regular unsolubilized Ubiquinone does not dissolve in water and only poorly dissolves in fat. Therefore, regular unsolubilized Ubiquinone has poor absorption.

Ubiquinol is the strong, antioxidant form of CoQ10 which neutralizes free radicals and decreases cellular damage. Ubiquinone does not have this antioxidant effect. Ubiquinol supplements are in a form that has already been reduced to being a strong antioxidant. Ubiquinol is both water and fat soluble, so it provides superior absorption compared to regular unsolubilized Ubiquinone. When taken directly in this format it works more quickly and can be delivered in lower concentrations without worry that it is not being metabolized.

The problem arises with aging in many people.

Recent medical lit shows that CoQ10 can help with female patients migraine headaches. My mother-in-law had multiple migraines a week--used this and they dropped by 80%. Maybe this is just empirical evidence, but it works for her.

I read up on this product from a few emails that my friend had sent me. Doing some research I find it on Amazon. The price I thought was right with the amount of mg's and capsule quantity. I can't believe how this product made me feel.It made me feel so much better, more energetic. I will continue to buy this product I believe this is worth the money and my health. I'm curious to see what others write about it in their reviews. I highly recommend this.Kirkland CoQ10 Coenzyme 300 mg - 75 Softgels

I'm used to taking a lot of big pills, but these were quite large. I take 600mg--so two 300s, or one 400 and one 200. These 300mg CoQ10 were much bigger than even the 400mg CoQ10 I take. Taking two huge ones was quite a bit more difficult. I'm not buying these again. There is no reason for the 300 to be significantly larger than the 400s.

My husband starting using this to help lower his blood pressure. It was at 120/80 so we thought we would try something natural. After 1 month of taking this (and he also starting taking Hawthorne Berry with it), his blood pressure went down to 113/70. My husband will continue taking this product.
