TABLE SALT: Food-grade table salt is almost pure sodium chloride or 97% or higher with substances called anti-caking agents added in order to prevent clumping. I rarely eat iodized salt. They are very high in iodine.
SEA SALT: Made by evaporating seawater. It is very similar to regular salt, but can contain small amounts of minerals. It can also contain trace amounts of heavy metals if it is harvested from a polluted sea.
HIMALAYAN SALT: Harvested from a large salt mine in Pakistan has a pink color due to the presence of iron oxide. It also contains trace amounts of calcium, potassium and magnesium.
KOSHER SALT: A flaky structure salt that makes it easy to spread on top of your food. There is very little difference compared to regular salt, although it is less likely to contain anti-caking agents and added iodine.
CELTIC SALT: Has a light grayish color and is quite moist. It is made from seawater and contains trace amounts of minerals.
Thanks Kris Gunnars.
I always thought that the Kirkland brand Mediterranean Sea Salt tasted good - but this is REALLY good - and just a little does the job. Get it at Costco for half the cost here - at under fourdollars.
If you are a member of the club store, you can get it for a few dollars cheaper there if it is in stock. However, the Prime convenience may be worth it for you.

I'm enjoying the salt but the plastic housing on the grinder is too flimsy to withstand even light use. Read morePublished 18 days ago by thetaminator
The only problem is the grinder could work a little better and give options for fine or coarse.Published 23 days ago by Jude
We like the salt - but Kirkland needs to do something about the grinder!
Cheaply made and very difficult to turn and grind...end up getting salt dust or nothing at all.
Best salt ever. Grinder broke about 1/3 of the way using it or I'd have given it a 5. Had to CUT the container open to get the rest of the salt out.Published 4 months ago by DD
Great salt! The grinder allows you to adjust the how course or fine you want the salt and the salt tastes really good. Like salt. It's a bit big on the table, but lasts a while.Published 4 months ago by Marisa
