Ibuprofen is a good over the counter analgesic (pain reliever) that works on mild to moderate pain. Ibuprofen is the generic drug name,and is the active ingredient in Advil and Motrin.

It comes in 200 milligram tablets/capsules. For most mild aches, it can be quite effective. Not only does Ibuprofen relieve pain, but it also is a real good anti-inflammatory medication (it lessens swelling). Thus it is also good for arthritis pain, any joint or muscle sprains or strains, and real good for toothache pain too.

Ibuprofen can cause stomach upset and mild stomach bleeding, therefore, always take it with a large cup of water and to minimize gastric upset, eat something with it, like some yogurt, some applesauce, a piece of toast, etc. The extra food will help protect your gut.

LIke any medication, Ibuprofen should not be taken day after day for an extended period of time without a doctor's supervision. Ibuprofen in higher doses or low continuous doses can damage your liver and kidneys. If you are planning to use Ibuprofen for only a few days, you should be able to tolerate 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours as needed (provided you are a generally healthy adult, are not allergic to Ibuprofen, have no existing liver or kidney disease, and have no stomach ulcers or chronic gut condition like Irritable Bowel Syndrome or Chron's Disease. How you purchase Ibuprofen is up to you, but there are some real good generic Ibuprofen products that are less than half the cost of the "name brand" products (Advil, Motrin). Both the generic and the name brand are equal in terms of strength and effectiveness. The only thing different about the name brand is fancier packaging and perhaps easier to swallow dose forms.

This is my 3rd order of these Ibuprofen tablets. Its a great price for 1000 tablets. I take 8-10 tablets a day for chronic knee pain and it works great. This ibuprofen is no different than others I have used. I will buy again.

With shipping cost, this product is about $10 per bottle of 500. Not a bad price, but the same thing at WalMart is just under $8 per bottle ($7.97 I think). So you pay an extra $4 for the convenience of having delivery to your door. This disparity can be reduced by ordering more than one unit, which is two bottles of 500, at a time. Check the postage chart the company supplies, do the math, and it could be worth your time. Of course this only works if you are a heavy and regular user of ibuprofen. Still a way better buy than name brands no matter what you do. No sense paying for the Motrin or Advil name when this product is the same thing. The seller has so far proved to be reliable and prompt. Too bad they can't be more reasonable with their shipping charges.

The expiration date on both bottles that were shrink-wrapped together is 2/14. 3 months shy of 3 years...pretty fresh I would say.

The artwork for the older label shows up in the online pictures but the ones that shipped had the newer artwork, shiny blue, for what it's worth.

If you deal with inflammation and have to take Advil or Motrin, you can take this generic form of Ibuprofen and get the same result. This is a fantastic deal if you take Ibuprofen regularly.

Highly recommended if this is part of a daily regimen. 1000 tablets is A LOT. The expiration date was reasonable 2010 (I believe). For me, this is no problem since I take ibuprofen pretty regularly.

Very good deal for the price.. That's 1000 (three zeros) for less than fifteen bucks.. and since I don't take aspirin and absolutely despise tylenol, I highly recommended these for the fast relief of pain.

Ibuprofen is my "go to" pain medication. I find that it helps me more than other over the counter medications. It is a pain reliever as well as anti-inflamation medicine. It helps me with migraine headaches, back pain, and cold head aches. Ibuprofen is the generic drug name,and is the active ingredient in Nuprin, Advil and Motrin. In large amounts it can cause stomach problems, but when I take 2 tablets twice a day for a short period of time I don't have any stomach issues. When I was put on a large amount of Ibuprofen to attempt to reduce swelling caused by raptured disk, it did become a problem and I had to add Prilesec to my regiment to deal with the stomach issue. In general it is best to take this medicine with food or water to protect to stomach lining.

Kirkland's Iburpofen has the best price I found for this product. The bottles typically have a pretty far away experation date, so I manager to use them all before they expire.

I noticed that the price on this product fluctuates significantly (from $8.99 to $20.00). I found a nice tool that shows history of Amazon prices and allows you to generate alert emails when the price reaches the desired price. If you enter "price history alert" in Google it will be come up at the top, it has the word camel in the name. I find this tool to be very helpful.

The strength is 200 mg not 300 mg, but again not much different. The bottle says to take one or two every 6 hours, but I take 3 or 4...which is about how much my doctor prescribes. (Why pay for a precription when you can get it OTC?) It helps with a mild flare up of inflammation. It also helps with sore muscles after being at the gym. I use this and some white linament oil after particularily hard days in the garden or at the gym. You get a total of 1000 pills, but taking 2 at a time (because a child's dose is about 1 pill) it's equivalent to 500 doses. If you're in pain almost everyday, it's cheap pain relief for a year.

We did not use yet this particular stuff, but we use ibuprofen time to time for pains of any kind. So, this was a very nice deal, great price for a very large quantity. I will share those t]pills with my mom too!
