Long shelf life and can be eaten right out of the can if necessary.

I like to have things like this in the pantry because they can yield almost instant meals without the need to run to the market.

I love the large 12.5 oz cans... big enough to make a decent chicken soup or salad dishes or casserole dishes.

I found an interesting product at my local Costco Warehouse store. It's cans of Kirkland Signature premium chunk chicken breast packed in water. The individual cans are 12.5 ounces and the entire packet is six cans. I couldn't resist. I like to have things like this in the pantry because they can yield almost instant meals without the need to run to the market. Today, for example, I made up a batch of chicken with rice soup using a can of this chicken along with the seasoned water packing, some cut up baby carrots, celery and a brown/wild rice mixture plus a few spices from the kitchen cabinet. The whole thing was done in an hour and made up a delicious meal. So easy. Tasted great. Economical, too.

This is excellent chicken and will lend itself to all kinds of dishes. It's tender and tasty and has a nice chunky appearance. It comes with a little starter recipe book and improvisations are welcome and easy. It's an excellent addition to my pantry.

Kirkland Signature canned chicken breast is a must have pantry staple in my house. I consider it the answer to inexpensive and easy chicken dishes the same way canned tuna is to fresh fish. Quite frankly, I don't want to deal with whipping up a gourmet feast every single meal. Thus, I love these magical cans of perfectly cooked and seasoned chicken. This is a kid friendly food that can go into sandwiches, pot pies, salads, and much, much more. Also, it tastes great in each dish. Best of all, no one will know that it comes from a can unless you tell them.
If the current price is too high for you, Kirkland is a Costco product trademark, so if you are a Costco member, you might look for it there.

I have never had canned chicken but decided to try this for my emergency food storage and glad I did! It's very nice quality chicken in big chunks and my favorite way to use it is chicken tacos. Nice to come home from work, chop up some onion and peppers and sauté. Toss in the chicken, add Asada spice, break the chunks up into shreds and brown it a bit. Very tasty and quick meal with tortillas.

It kind of overwhelms the chicken. If you going to make something like chicken salid with lots of mayo than you will not have to salt it. It's good but salty

As an Amazon Prime customer and a Kirkland/Costco customer, I never even thought to check the price as I was ordering. I thought, "Kirkland chicken..Free Shipping Prime, this is great!" Unfortunately, (or fortunately)the cans came in a separate small box and some were dented. When I went to check invoice, I realized I was charged $11.62 shipping. Instead of the usual $14.00 for chicken,I was billed $26 from Amazon!
My fault I should have looked at prices. I just checked all the Kirkland products I recently ordered and realized I payed almost double for each item. I know everyone has to make a profit, but in the future I will be driving back to Costco!

If you gotta use canned chicken, this is the one! Good flavor and not fatty at all. One can was in the great "Kirkland chicken accident" (see other peoples reviews,) and was severely dented, but the contents were unscathed and in perfectly edible condition.

Came dented, almost impossible to open with regular can opener. Tasted better than most canned chicken, but is that really very impressive?

Costco canned chicken (Kirkland) has always been my choice for chicken ala king or as a sandwich mix. I have never been disappointed.
