This book is a fantastic technical reference for veterinarians and vet students interested in keeping abreast of current therapy in small animal medicine. It is meant to describe current therapy concerning up and coming areas of vet med, rather than to serve as a general reference.

I have to admit that it is an excellent book if you want to do research or find refrences about a topic, but if you want to keep it handy in your practice or use it for passing tests then you better buy something else or you need to buy at least the last "3" editions of the book. because all chapters refer to old editions for diagnosis,epidemiology or what os...

The only drawback in this excellant series of books is the long interval between volumes.There should be an on-line site for these books to alow regular udates of new practices and proceedures.
