Two stick up kids by the name of Free and Big Lou get more than they bargain for when they discreetly rob a baller named Twin at one of his lavish parties. Not only do they get away with his lucrative stash but Free also gets away with Twin's lady, Six, and quickly he makes her his main chick. For years to come best friends Big Lou and Free continue being professional ski mask bandits, which in turn allows Free to provide Six with the hood rich lifestyle she craves. Six is the epitome of a ride or die chick, so when Free gets locked up for three years, she never thought twice about faithfully standing by his side. Through his prison sentence Six tries her best to hold it down, she even has to get a job as a bartender at the local strip club. With Free's upcoming release she thinks things will go back to normal and she will be living the lavish life in no time. She thought wrong though because the day following his release it becomes scarily clear that Free owes the Russians a pretty penny. Three hundred thousand dollars to be exact, and in only six months or they both will be forced to pay with their lives.

Jones is an original gangster and just so happens to be the coolest father ever. He is completely non-judgmental and gives Six the best advice because he clearly wants the best for his daughter. He knows that Free and Six are in dire need of cash flow so he brokers a business deal between Free and a king pin named Britain. Things go from bad to worse when the deal goes horribly wrong. Britain refuses to pay and that automatically makes him the next intended robbery victim. Free has to approach this stick up a bit differently being that Britain is the man in the streets and appears untouchable. He decides to send Six.

Free met Six Jones while trying to rob, Twin, `her man' at the present time and knew that she was the one, when she stepped in, fine tuned the caper and took one for the team. The couple's love has triumphed over countless valleys and mountains...including Free's incarceration. Upon release from a three year bid in prison, Six is waiting with open arms, but so is Free's past transgressions, with malevolent threats to Free and his loved ones. Down like four flats, Free, Six, and best friend, Big Lou get jiggy in their quest for a quarter of a million dollars.

Britain "Brick" Adams is `that man' on the streets, if you want it, he got it! He's among royalty with his street credentials, while the law works tirelessly trying to dethrone him as the media depicts him as a heartless ogre. Six's father, Ben Jones, an old gangsta carries history that connects Six and Britain. These ties can solve everyone's problems if used quickly, efficiently, and wisely.

Will Free throw his `one true love' to the wolves knowing that he can lose her to charisma and wealth? Or will Free take his chances, holding his ace close to his heart and see what the devil has planned? Will Six use her connections to once again save the only man she's ever loved? Is true love a fairy tale in a world so cold and cruel? Execution, engineering, and eradication are three adjectives this duo plus one must devise for everyone to survive the danger that surrounds their chance for love, peace, and happiness.

We've heard about Bonnie and Clyde...Romeo and Juliet...hell we even know about Keyshia and Clyde, but brace yourself, get ready, get ready. When true love meets gangsta, you'll see that this equation factored together can equal nothing less than a highly explosive read!

Well...ive finished another Ashley book as always it was good but again the ending as far as what happens to the charaters was the same and perdictible i say this because ashley and jaquvis books never have happy endings and thats beginning to let me always be able to predict the ending i understand Ashley and Jaquvis want to keep it as real as possible i like that about them...however i think its time for a little change in there formula...

This book was just ok for me I didnt think it was a great book by any means. However I really liked Bricks character he was the best part of the book for me. I didnt like the character development for Six I mean how weak can this woman be. Also I know this book is being made into a movie and I having no idea why these two have many other books that they could have made into a movie why this one. They need to bring Brick back though what a man!

This is a very fast paced novel. It is a quick read. Although there were one or two small parts that I thought were a bit exaggerated, overall it is still a very enjoyable book with star crossed lovers and well developed characters.

I then lost count of how many times I had read this but this book had my attention though. I love Six and Free relationship. The ending was so sad the way that Free had died though smh I hated the ending. Brick was a charming drug dealer who didnt deserved what six was doing to him even though she was doing it for free. I would love for him to have a woman by his side to share his money house and cars with. Great Story Ashley and Jaquavis
