For anyone who hasn't read the Pembroke Palace series, this is a great introduction. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series!
First she's stressed that she's to marry a man she doesn't know and longs for the man she's known since childhood and loved almost that long. Second he shows up, but her father locks her in her room to keep her from meeting again (they already talked briefly once before) and PRESTO--they are married from the window of her room
and run off to Italy where he will become a Dr. BUT there is not enough conflict before the end , and it's to abrupt an ending--to "pat" in my opinion.

This is a tease for the money. This could have been introduced into any of the other books. Love the author but disappointed in this short story.Published 6 months ago by Cindy Baker

I love the victorian era in England and think it was one of the best, of course I do not like the way men thought women had no brains, but in these books we seem to do OK.Published on July 31, 2013 by Linda Raykowski
