great music, great movie,

The main reason I bought this cd was for the song "Mystikal Fever". After I listened to the whole cd, I got attached to some of the other really good songs: "What You Got?", "Lapdance", "Ghir Dini", "As If You Said Nothing" (the beat seems to put you in a good mood), and the beautiful song "Adore You". This cd is definitely worth it. Also, DO NOT MISS THE MOVIE K.O.D. It's my #1 favorite of all time.

Help for steveny2k,

Mystikal Fever is the song at the end when Jet is fighting the two blondes. The CD is awesome, and goes along perfectly in the movie. I recommend the soundtrack, score, and the movie.

the main reason i bought was expecting to find that awesome music during the scene when li meets on the boat and then escapes from the police to the subway. that music really gets ya going and was probably the best music in the whole movie and it wasn't on the soundtrack. i believe it was composed by craig armstrong who i hope will release it.

OK, the movie was a B/C grade chop socky flick. But they did dress it up by having Bridget Fonda and Tcheky Karyo in it. And the fight scenes were great as were some of the tunes playing while they happened. So I figured given it's price why not pick this up?
And at the end of the day that is the clincher. If you liked the movie (like I did) and you like the cheap price you can get this for (which I also did) then this isn't such a bad deal. I mean Mystikal Fever and Lapdance are both kinda cool 'rap' tunes - I use the term loosely - and you instantly know what scene of the film they came from. I'm not really into this kind of self contratulating profanity riddled doof doof but these two tunes have seen some serious airplay in my car and when a workmate found out I had this soundtrack she flipped out and borrowed it straight away - loving those same two tunes. Where things do fall down a bit is the rather one dimensional nature of the music and the fact that not all the best bits of the films music are here. And while The Congos 'don't Blame It On I' is somewhat amusing and the final track entitled Adore You by Lisa Barbuscia is a pleasant mellow ending to the disc there is precious little to really hold your attentiong though perhaps that is more my personal musical tastes coming out. And while all the songs are fully credited there are no liner notes etc about the film. All told I'm glad I picked this up. It has a couple of tunes that hold great memories from the film and is available cheap. If those two things are on your wishlist then you might as well take the plunge.

The CD is OK, but what makes it really worth buying is "Don't blame it on I" I consider that the best song on the entire CD. For all I know it IS the best song on the CD, but that's just because it is so damn nice to those little two ears of yours.

max's review,

I thought this CD was a horrible deal. It had 11 songs, most of which I weren't interested in, on it. The only real reason I bought it was to find out the names of the songs in the movie that i thought were good. If i had found them somewhere on the net then i would of just downloaded the mp3 from some place. So don't buy this CD. Just find someone that has a CD burner and burn you the good songs which are like only 4 of the 11. I have pretty good taste in music too. Also the movie was so crappy and I admit that I like some bad movies and this was worse than bad.
