Sailor Kris Crossman has problems while stationed in Rhodes, Greece. The prostitute with strong feelings for him is brutally murdered. The sinister anti-American police inspector suspects Kris. Kris meets and falls in love with the prostitute's sister, Lari. Lari's father ferociously rebuffs Kris's approaches to Lari. The killer is wading in blood, and upping his body count. Kris is learning the Greek language to court Lari, and befriending locals. The crew on the Courier, Kris's ship, think he's going native. The killer has targeted Lari. Can Kris count on his shipmates or his Greek friends to help save her?
As with most men, the most interesting part of my life has been a woman. That's my wife of over 51 years, Sophia. I met her while stationed aboard the Coast Guard cutter "Courier" at Rhodes, Greece. She isn't greek, she's GREEK!
I had to learn to speak Greek to ask her Dad for her hand. One of the hardest and most rewarding efforts of my life.
During 21 years of the Guard my most continuous habits was voracious reading. A must for any writer.
During my career we were rewarded with a son and a daughter.
My best tour was two years as commanding officer of Sylt loran station in northern Germany.
I shot my way up through the ranks to Lieutenant Commander in 21 years before retiring.
Then life got interesting. I got two baccalaureate degrees and an MBA while working in local TV. Again, early retirement.
Two years as a college professor before trying two years as an instructor manager at a computer superstore. On to a road warrior spot with IBM for several years. Y2K killed that.
Since then, an occasional ride on cruise ships as a guest lecturer and nation-wide jaunts to Advertising federations for more talks.
Now I'm concentrating on losing golf balls and perfecting my poker skills. Average at both.
Along the way I've hammered out ten books. Some of them are really good :-)
I try to fashion books that'll make air trips easier. Hope that works for you.
