KISS OR KEEP was definitely not your typical mystery/romance novel, you could quite possibly call it Science Fiction.

Dealing with problems of society, two sisters Barbara Jean and Nylah Richardson, both in the medical field, Barbara Jean, a Lab Technician, and Nylah, a Registered Nurse, are the care givers for their crack-cocaine dependent mother. Nylah being the most logical and sensible sister, and Barbara Jean the logical, but irresponsible and sometime "nutty" sister.

While on duty Nylah has a patient, Lovell Joyner, admitted with a knife wound, everyone discovers that this patient has healing blood, which has everyone's interest, including Nylah's sister. Barbara Jean's fascination with different types of blood and its healing powers, together with her illogical thinking, remove Lovell from the hospital and in with them, not realizing the danger placed on the entire family.

The premise of the story alternates between reality and Sci-Fi, not leaving much room for believability, romance or anything else for that matters, allowing what bit of a storyline to die.

love the theme and the characters, well written, i was very pleased with the story from beginning to end.
