4.0 out of 5 stars A reasonable film
A very reasonable film that treads on multiple cultural taboos. What does it mean to live in a truly free society and whether we truly have free speech? 4.0 out of 5 stars A reasonable film, April 5, 2011
By
A very reasonable film that treads on multiple cultural taboos. What does it mean to live in a truly free society and whether we truly have free speech? In what some consider crossing that line, a professor burns an American flag at the beginning of the film. His struggle to retain his professorship sets the background for the main focus of the film - the struggles of a twenty-something couple in the doldrums to reinvigorate their relationship by brining in a third - an always challenging situation.

The film is more to entertain than truly deep analysis of two interesting questions, but worth a watch.

4.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly Good, April 15, 2011
Enjoyable film, focusing on the emotional dynamics of a threesome. Darrell Hammond is good in a supporting role. This was an engaging film and is the most honest portrayal of this type of relationship that I have seen.

5.0 out of 5 stars thought-provoking and emotional, December 18, 2006
This review is from: Kiss Me Again (DVD)
I rented the movie on a whim, expecting it to be B-rated, but hoping for better nonetheless. It completely surprised me by having real depth and meaning.

The characters are complex and well developed -- you understand why they do what they do. The relationships are REAL, messy, emotional. Yeah, the story is based around the idea of a threesome, but there is nothing shallow about it. And there is no nudity, yet it still manages to be quite sensual, which I consider a compliment of the acting rather than any detraction.

For me, the thing that took this movie from okay to fantastic was how the characters reacted to the disintegration of the relationship(s). I don't want to give anything away, so I can't really say more about that.

The acting amazed me -- the three main characters were each incredible, and even the side characters had a lot of depth. You could sense the stories that didn't get told.

This is a very entertaining movie. It doesnt really break any new ground, but who cares? What the movie does is tell a good story, and it does that quite well. Quality acting all around, especially from lead actress K. Winnick. Her facial expressions are priceless.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pleasantly Surprised!!!, July 19, 2011
By
ILoveVegas (Las Vegas, NV) - See all my reviews
I don't want to discuss the plot like other reviewers. When I decided to Watch this movie, I had low expectations, based on other reviews. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised!! I really enjoyed Katheryn Winnick's acting, along with Mirelly Taylor's acting. Jeremy London was not bad, but certainly could have done better. Darrell Hammond on supporting role was outstanding. I found the direction to be weak, for sure. For a movie with $1.4 million dollars budget, this movie lacked great DP work, and at times, had me wonder where they spent the money. Over all, I stayed engaged in the movie due to Katheryn Winnick's acting!! I had never seen her before, and after the movie, I looked her up on IMDB to see what else she has done. I do agree with one reviewer...Jeremy London does look like a fat brother of Brandon Fraiser, and Mirelly Taylor does resemble Penelope Cruz!!! I read Mirelly Taylor was singled out by critics for her performance....but I didn't think she got much of a scope to do that. The director didn't really use her talent, but she was good. Over all, it was a pleasant experience, but I wouldn't pay to see it on big screen. As an Amazon prime member, I watched this free, and for that, it was worth it for sure. Katheryn Winnick kept me interested in this movie with her acting!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent portrait of erotica, October 7, 2010

This film is the best on screen version of a threesome that I have seen. The characters, their emotions--they all work. Great erotica.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Story, Entertaining Flick, May 20, 2011
Intriguing story, good acting and dynamic characters makes this an entertaining flick. The honest glimpse into our world of complex relationships is rewarding. If you have religious hangups (as the 1-star reviewers obviously do) don't watch -- the film challenges simplistic views regarding sex and relationships.

1.0 out of 5 stars UNoriginal!!!, November 11, 2006

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Kiss Me Again (DVD)
A straight guy who wants to have a female-dominant threesome? Let's see: this has already been done in "Trois" and "Just One Time." Just as those movies stunk, so does this one. This movie could have been called "The Look-alike Film." The main character looked like he could have been Brendan Fraser's fatter brother. The Spanish student was obviously a Penelope Cruz imitation. In fairness, one guy may have been the actual tattooed guy from "Oz," the one on death row.
This film says it has "sexual content," but it could have run on non-cable TV. There is no nudity whatsoever. The plot is predictable. I am in shock that a movie whose cover looked so titillating could be such a disappointment. This work really and truly lacked redeeming qualities.
