I like M. Phelps enough that I actually pre-ordered this book. Thankfully, it was less than $3.00. Sadly, it's perhaps not even worth that. The really sad part is, I actually WANT to know the story. I want to know what happened, and how, and why, and what the trial brought forth....but even at the end of the book, you are left with wanting to know more, while at the same time feeling like you've been bombarded with WAY too much stuff about some of he players than you need or want to know. Worse, the Author actually rambles...a LOT...and throws in conjecture, opinion, attitude and snark, like you are having a conversation. The timing of said content is poor, and just creates clutter and distraction in the story. This feels like an unpolished and unedited manuscript, rather than a completed true crime novel by a respected author. 2 stars only because I wanted to know the end result enough to keep reading even though I felt like I was wading thru trash to get there.

This book left me wanting more information about the tragedy of Martha Gail Fulton's murder. Gail Fulton's husband George has an affair with Donna Trapani. Donna Trapani is a very mean, low class and jealous person, who has no boundaries when it comes to getting what she wants. George Fulton decides to try and salvage his and Gail's marriage, but Donna Trapani, decides otherwise. Donna hires Kevin Oullette, Patrick Alexander and Sybil Padgett to murder Gail Fulton. The people in this book are so pathetic, so low class, that they almost seem fictional, but sadly they are not.

The book is quiet lengthy, yet it didn't cover as much of the trial, as I would have liked. I am a long time Phelps fan, but in my opinion this not one of his best books.

I loved this book and thought it was one of William Phelps best and I have read them all. The characters are beyond pathetic and evil. There is a special place in hell for people like Donna Tripani. Incredibly sad how people can manipulate other people.

To attempt to try to understand the self centeredness of Donnna Triani and the unconcern she had for others is very difficult. She showed no awareness of how she was destroying a family. It's scary to think they're people like this in society today.

Phelps has earned a great reputation as a true crime author and he continues to add to it in Kiss of the She-devil. When the sweet, long-suffering, loyal, religious librarian wife won't get out of the She-devils way.......she is murdered as she leaves her job at the library. Two suspects, each with solid alibis.....but where there is an obsession...there is a way! Great read, sad story.

As Gail's daughter Emily described the murderer, Donna, as "not even pretty", "creepy", I couldn't agree more. M. William Phelps has once again delivered an interesting, captivating novel on the life of Gail Fulton and her untimely death by the "3 ring circus" + 1 narcissistic disillusioned person. He does not fail to captivate his readers from the victim's family's point of view.

Donna Trapani was in love with married business associate George Fulton and he had, at one time, said the same about her. But when push came to shove, George had returned to Michigan and decided to work on his marriage.

Donna was outraged. Her lies about being pregnant and dying of cancer had done nothing to sway her lover to stay in Florida with her. It was all Gail's fault, Donna believed. George's wife was too dependent on him. Gail, claimed Donna, used their adult children to guilt her husband. And, Donna told anyone who would listen, Gail was suicidal.

Yes, it was all Gail. And if something happened to Gail, Donna was sure she'd win the man she loved.

Using her powers of persuasion, or manipulation and bullying as it should actually be described, Donna Trapani convinced her friend Sybil Pagett to find someone willing to kill Gail for fifteen thousand dollars.

In his latest book, Kiss of the She-Devil, true crime author and host of I.D. Discovery's Dark Minds M. William Phelps, presents readers with the story of a mistress who felt entitled to a married man just because she had fallen in love with him.

The story centers around real-life Fatal Attraction that begins in sunny Florida and ends chilly October night in Michigan. Donna Trapani is even more mentally disturbed than Glenn Close's character in the aforesaid movie.

Readers can only watch helplessly from the pages of this book as Gail mourns the loss of a twenty year marriage to an obvious psychopath - a woman who tells a story of being pregnant with George's baby and insisting Gail raise the child as her own.

I've read all of Mr Phelps books and always enjoyed them. This one however, disappointed me. The first half was pretty good, but the trial was boring, predicatable. But what the heck, I only spent $2 on it, so for the price it was ok...just ok.
