total crap,
By A Customer
This review is from: Kiss & Tell More! (Paperback)
Okay, KISS fans. Obviously we are reading this for inside stories and dirt on the group. This is a tabloid book and no one can deny that. Whether you choose to believe anything said about Ace is up to you. The first book was very readable and I enjoyed its content. this book is page after page of internet posts and the authors little giggles and snickerings when applicable. It is a waste of time. the author has blown his point by writing this book. I don't care if Ace is a complete jerk or not. I like his music. 30 pluspages of royalty earnings and bankruptcy papers are 1. not interesting, and 2. complete exploitation by the author. The first book was written to gather lost funds supposedly stolen by Ace when he took half of the corporation Rock Soldiers from the author. Good enough for me. Whatever. If you are going to write another book please put some actual content in it, please? I do not recommend this book from a readers standpoint. A KISS collector would want it, but do not expect to be entertained.

The first book was fine, but...,

A better title for this book should be "Kiss and Tell - the Feedback". Although there are a few new stories (most of them contributed by guest writers), the bulk of the book is comprised of e-mail that the author got about the first book and descriptions of radio interviews he gave. If you liked the first book and you're a diehard Kiss fan, you'll find the sequel(?)rather enjoyable. But don't even think of buying it without reading the original "Kiss and Tell" first.

whoa!gordon, gordon, gordon. With the "ace/peter incident" you just drove well into the more than I needed to know country. But, as you say,it is your book. However, acefans, none the less, even if you are angry at gordon for this, you must read the part about ace having "to go" at the boxing match.I about died laughing.I'm sorry, but for those of us who have withstood long lines at concerts/events,somebody should give Ace a medal and a few "attaboy"s for that one.

This book really wasn't necessary. I'm sure Gordon wanted to cash in more on the success of the first book(which I found enjoyable) but really didn't have any more Ace stories. So instead we get 300 pages of internet chatter, transcripts from interviews that he had done to promote the first book and 30 pages of royalty information for some of Ace's songs from Kiss. He snipes at a couple of haters, and ends the book with a big F-you to Ace. Some of the stuff is interesting, and their are a couple of new stories from guest writers. I really think this should have been put on a web site. It would make an interesting footnote to the first book, but on its own, it is not worth the price.

I enjoyed reading the first book "Kiss & Tell." I read it quickly in about 3 sessions.
I thought I would enjoy this one as well however I was very surprised and disapointed after I started reading it to find that this book is all filler! It is a poor exscuse to capitalize on the success and hype that the first book garnered. This book is 75% full of internet posts/threads that were at one point (and still may be) posted online. The author then copied & edited these postings and reprinted them in his book "Kiss & Tell more." There are also reprints of court papers and legal documents which I also found boring and not worth the price I paid for the book. There are a few stories and anecdotes made by the author and by some other writers but these are short interludes between the predominant internet threads/posts. Personally I feel ripped off and cheated as I was expecting a continuation of the first book which would bring to light more stories and background goings on in the life of the subject matter in question. What I got was more of an insight into how the author spent a lot of time online acting; as well as interacting with internet trolls and then reprinting all of it and then charging an unsuspecting public (me) to read this garble.

The tale of a loser who met a rock star,
By A Customer
This review is from: Kiss & Tell More! (Paperback)
The author has once again decided to subject us to tales of how his life was empty without humiliating himself in front of Ace Frehley, the successful lead guitarist of the successful band KISS. Gebert has an axe to grind and embarasses himself grinding it. The book is a collection of humilating annecdotes that are intended to make Frehley look bad, but actually make Gebert look bad by putting with all of this alleged garbage. Save some money, and get the same thing by buying the enquirer.

KISS & Tell MORE ROCKS,
By A Customer
This review is from: Kiss & Tell More! (Paperback)
KISS & Tell MORE is 300 pages of cool information you would not get anywhere else on the band KISS. There are documents, other writers (which was really cool), and loads of pictures (including hot babes - I love that Stacy Walker). The two books KISS & Tell and KISS & Tell MORE really exposes the reality of a band like KISS and removes all the hype and myths. Don't read it if KISS is your favorite band and you want to keep their false images intact. Read it if you like to find out entertaining, inside information about rock stars. Two very cool rock and roll books. If you are a Rock fan, these books are for you.

Another MUST-READ. An EYE-OPENER!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Kiss & Tell More! (Paperback)
I read the first book by Gebert and McAdams and that was a shocker! This book is a perfect follow-up to KISS & Tell. It's not for the faint-hearted or die-hard KISS fans that see their heros as they can do no wrong. I loved reading about all the REAL inside stuff on a rock band. Both KISS & Tell and KISS & Tell MORE are EXCELLENT books. Totally recommended.
