5.0 out of 5 stars A classic reunion by a classic Rock-n-Roll Band, October 8, 2000

This review is from: Kiss Unplugged [VHS] (VHS Tape)
MTV did an outstanding job recording this amazing reunion back in 1995 when for the first time in over 16 years the original members of KISS (Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley) got back together and with current members of KISS recorded an unforgettable night at the MTV studios in NYC.

This video opens up the highlights of the original artists getting back together, then the music begins with the current members of KISS doing all their songs accoustically. How does it sound? FANTASTIC! Gene Simmons is one of the most underrated Bass Guitar players in Rock-N-Roll, and he shows his awesome musicianship as well as the other members of the group. From such classics such as "Do You Love Me?" "Plaster Caster" the current group jams.

The second part begins the real JAM session begins when Peter Criss and Ace Frehely joins the stage. Then the evening really gets going. The highlights of the 2nd half are "Beth" "Rock-N-Roll All Nite".

This video is highly recommended to all KISS fans and fans of good Rock-N-Roll.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kiss Rock Unplugged, August 20, 2005

This review is from: Kiss: Unplugged (DVD)
Kiss rock hard in this one and its interesting to see the reunion. The songs they chose sound great unplugged and there is some songs they never usually sung live, but are here such as "Comming Home" "See You Tonight" and "A World Without Heroes".All of the songs sound great unplugged.
This is not your normal Kiss, you wont find blood spitting and fire blowing here. Also the atmosphere is far softer than a normal Kiss concert. But musicly its great, and a fine effort.

5.0 out of 5 stars Will be even better next year! (Don't buy those rip-off used/new ones here), September 5, 2007
This review is from: Kiss: Unplugged (DVD)
From what I've been reading, this concert will be released on Kissology 3 with better sound, expanded video and so on.
Why should anyone buy that bootleg item at 60 dollars, sold by a "customer" or 120 dollars for a used one.. or even over 600 dollars for a new one? Man, that guy thinks this is the holy grail of DVD's?
Not...
If you have a used, even a new, copy of that DVD, and want to sell it, better get your price down... next year when they release Kissology 3, it will be in there, cheaper and better...
Hope nobody will be foolish enough to buy those expensive discs here (or auction sites, etc...)
Just wait a bit more and you'll get THE Unplugged DVD... (I said next year... that is, IF they continue their 10 month-period between each release, as they did for Kissology 1 and 2... if we can trust that time between releases, then it should be next June (2008), could be before... I hope)
Can't wait to get it, though...
