Bravo Quinn Nystrom. You have written the book that every young person with diabetes needs to read. Their parents should read it, as well, so they can understand what it feels like to be l3 and diagnosed with a chronic disease. This honest account is about coming to terms with life with diabetes. Her journey through her teens and twenties is funny and heartbreaking and uplifting. My daughter loved, loved, loved this book and so did I. Thank you for providing a way for us to talk about what life is really like for her.

"If I Kiss You, Will I Get Diabetes" is an honestly written journey of the author from her teens to twenties that will capture the heart of parents whose children are stricken with chronic illness.

More so, Miss Nystrom's tone and content will encourage Teens and young adults alike to embrace the blessings in their lives and strive to achieve the futures they imagined pre-diagnosis. She proves that knowledge is power when applied to one's own health.

Strikingly profound is the way her words read as though the reader is listening to a good friend. This book is a refreshing addition to an arsenal of books on disease - especially for youth, and more specifically diabetes.

Parents of young diabetics or children with chronic diagnoses will appreciate the glimpse into the strengths and insecurities of a teen turned young adult living and succeeding despite illness. Highly recommend for teens and older who have been diagnosed.

My Husband , a Type 2 diabetic for 22 years, loved this book as well as I . We laughed and cried when reading the true- to -life accounts. I have purchased a copy to give to a friend whose son recently was diagnosed. It is a must read for families of any diabetic. It should be part of any physicians library and a recommended book for all diabetics, type 1 or 2.
