5.0 out of 5 stars Baby's bottom is smooth and rash free

3.0 out of 5 stars Works okay, but doesn't smell the best.
I purchased 2 bottles of this concentrate to mix with witch hazel for use with my cloth baby wipes. The instructions say to use a tablespoon for each bottle of mixed solution, but I found that to be WAY too much--the smell is extremely strong and almost unpleasant, in my opinion. I use about 10 drops and that seems to work better. As far as wiping my baby's bottom...

My baby has sensitive skin and she gets a rash very easily. It's not something I experienced with my first two children. After reading the reviews on Amazon, I decided to give this stuff a try and I'm glad I did. My baby's bottom is clearer than it has been in a long time.

I mixed this with water and a touch of witch hazel. Not only is it convenient to not have to wet my wipes in the sink for every diaper change - this stuff seems to work better than using cloth wipes with regular water.

I was also surprised by how much I like the smell of this. I'm generally very picky about scents. (I'm definitely not the type of person who wears perfume or uses air fresheners.) I think this lotion potion smells awesome though.

Although I initially thought that this was a tad expensive, I added up the costs of buying my own oils, and found that this really wasn't that bad of a price. It's definitely cheaper than buying disposable baby wipes, and works better than water.

5.0 out of 5 stars We use it with every diaper change/, March 24, 2011
This review is from: Kissaluvs Diaper Lotion Potion 4 oz. Squirt Bottle, Concentrate (Baby Product)
This has been one of our cloth diapering staples for nearly three years. I mix just a little bit with distilled water and alcohol-free witch hazel in 6 oz spray bottles for use during diaper changes. Neither of my children has ever experienced diaper rashes and I give partial credit to this product. It smells fresh (not too overpowering) and helps to moisturize my children's bottoms. I simply spray my mixture on their skin and wipe clean with cloth wipes. A little bit goes a long way. One bottle usually lasts us 4 months now that I have two in diapers.

5.0 out of 5 stars This stuff is great!, February 25, 2010
This review is from: Kissaluvs Diaper Lotion Potion 4 oz. Squirt Bottle, Concentrate (Baby Product)
Diaper Lotion Potion is amazing. You can use it to treat diaper rash, eczema, boo boos, you name it and it works as a great diaper area cleanser. It's extremely easy to use and versatile and smells fantastic. And the best thing is a bottle of the concentrate lasts a long time since you use so little to create the lotion potion spray or wipes solution. I recommend this stuff to everyone not just parents, as it works great for scrapes, scratches and cuts as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Stuff but Very Strong!, April 19, 2011

Really like this product. However I think the usage instructions could be better. It tells you to either mix with witch hazel to a pretty strong solution for a spray (not sure if this is meant to be sprayed directly on wipe or baby undiluted, because it doesn't say, but it seems like it would be way too harsh at that concentration without adding water. The other suggestion is to "mix a few drops with water" to make a wipe solution. Not very specific so you are kindof on your own to figure out what works for you and your baby. From my own experience, I do like the product very much, however the directions need to be more detailed. I fill up a small sink with hot water, add a splash of witch hazel and a single squirt of Potion and mix well. Then I throw in my cloth wipes, gently squeeze out the excess and lay them in my Prince Lionheart Warmies wipe warmer which I LOVE! I overdid it with too much Potion at first and it seemed to irritate baby's skin a bit and overwhelm the senses as Tea Tree oil is pretty potent stuff. Three words - Less Is More (except when it comes to directions for use)!

5.0 out of 5 stars Magic Potion, February 8, 2011
This review is from: Kissaluvs Diaper Lotion Potion 4 oz. Squirt Bottle, Concentrate (Baby Product)
I can't say enough good things about this product. It's economical - a little goes a long way when diluted with witch hazel and kept in a spray bottle. It's gentle - my son's sensitive skin has never reacted poorly (and he can't use disposable wipes without breaking out). It's moisturizing and soothing when he does have a flareup. And best of all, it's AMAZING at getting all of the icky stuff off the tender parts without rubbing. Truth be told, I used it one bleary crazy night to remove my makeup - worked great! My son is ten months old and I'm down to a few ounces left in my second bottle, which is enough to last me the rest of the month. I consider that a great value, especially when I compare it to how much disposable wipes cost. We love the smell, we love how gentle it is, we just love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Red bum finally cleared up, January 4, 2012
This review is from: Kissaluvs Diaper Lotion Potion 4 oz. Squirt Bottle, Concentrate (Baby Product)
Ever since switching to cloth 3 months ago my daughter has had a small spot on her bum that's persistently irritated with red bumps. It would clear up if I slather her in Butt Paste and put her in a disposable, but always came back in cloth. Since I've started spraying this on with each diaper change it finally cleared up completely! I'm so glad I bought the concentrate instead of the spray bottle, such a better value and it works great for us. My only complaint is that the concentrate always separates from the witch hazel, so I just shake it up before each use. Wish it would stay mixed. One tip: I found it easy to measure the concentrate by using an infant medicine syringe marked for teaspoons.

5.0 out of 5 stars I like it, June 13, 2010

Our little girl is one month old and we've been using this with each dirty diaper change (cloth diapers). Her diaper area looks great and we're very happy with it. We pour a couple table spoons worth into a spray bottle, add about a third of a cup of witch hazel, and then fill it with water. We've only used a small portion of the bottle but the smell is great and all dirtyness comes off without a problem.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great wipes solution, May 5, 2010

We've used this concentrate to make wipes solution and love it. One bottle lasts quite awhile because you don't have to use very much at all.

As far as wiping my baby's bottom goes, this seems to work fine and I haven't noticed that it irritates his skin at all, though I don't much like the smell it leaves on him either.

But one thing I don't like about this concentrate is the bottle itself--I have yet to find a way to make up a bottle of mixed solution without spilling--the oils just dribble down the side of the bottle and onto the counter whether I use the pop open lid, or unscrew the entire top and try to pour it. I found that to be especially true when I tried pouring it into a tablespoon before adding it to my spray bottle. When you pay $10 for such a little bottle, any waste is discouraging. I don't know that I will buy more of this when I run out, but then again, using only 10 drops, I probably won't run out for a few years anyway.

5.0 out of 5 stars soothing, convenient, lasts a long time, October 10, 2011

This review is from: Kissaluvs Diaper Lotion Potion 4 oz. Squirt Bottle, Concentrate (Baby Product)
I use this along with the Kissaluvs unbleached wipe cloths. It has an herbal-ish kind of smell, it's definitely not artificially scented. I just use it with water- 1/2 teaspoon in 1/2 cup water. I wouldn't make it any more concentrated as tea tree oil is strong and a little goes a long way. I simply store my wipes in an air-tight container with the solution on them. They stay damp and it's very easy.

This concentrate comes in a cobalt blue bottle which protects the jojoba oil from sunlight and deterioration. I like that instead of having a garbage can of smelly used disposable wipes I can toss these in the diaper pail and wash them along with my cloth diapers. It eliminates stinky garbage in the room.
