5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderfully soft wool cover! I've owned it for a month shy of a year.
Although I started cloth diapering 11 years ago, I only decided to trust wool with my youngest baby. I don't know why I was so scared to try it. I guess I just didn't believe that it wouldn't itch like crazy or stop leaks. I am SOOOOO happy that I decided to just try it. It works better than I could have imagined and it is unbelievably soft. 3.0 out of 5 stars Not as absorbant as others I have
This wool is extremely soft and nice looking (I call it our "dress up" wool b/c it's great under nice dresses instead of the bloomers that don't fit over cloth). However, I am not impressed with it's absorbancy. Doesn't compare with our Little Beetle, Aristocrat, Babyology, Disana or many other knit wool covers that we own. I will not buy another, especially for the...

My baby loves wearing this. It's so breathable and never leaves any red marks. She also has less diaper rash than when we were using PUL and nylon covers. I can honestly say that if it weren't for wool, we'd probably be using sposies right now.

The upkeep isn't difficult at all. There are many videos on Youtube if you want to see how to lanolize wool. If you have any leftover Lansinoh from those first weeks of breastfeeding - that will work perfectly. Otherwise, you can get lanolin from your pharmacy.

I have 5 other brands of wool pull-on covers, and I really do like this brand. My baby has only leaked through this a handful of times. (She's an average wetter, so it probably just needed to be lanolized.) If properly lanolized, I can't imagine that a baby would soak completely through this unless they are heavy wetters or sleep for 14+ hours at a time.

Because this cover is so buttery soft and reliable, it probably gets the most use out of all my wools. Because my daughter wears a lot of dresses, it's used mostly during the day. (I even usually choose this over my cute embroidered Wild Child Woolies!) It doesn't look brand new anymore. The top looks kinda stretched out. However, the leg holes still fit nicely around my baby' legs. There aren't any worn spots or holes in the fabric. I don't know if it would last through more than 1 - 2 babies, but I still feel like I'm getting my money's worth.

(Disana is my #1 favorite for night time. I can't imagine any baby could wet enough to soak through Disanas! I like the Kissa's,Ruskovilla and Lanacare equally, while I'm not a fan of my Aristocrats cover.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! This is the BEST wool cover ever!, July 26, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have loved my wool diaper covers ever since I started using cloth diapers, they are so wonderful. When I looked into purchasing another recently, I saw this new cover. I thought it sounded great, but when I got it, it surpassed my expectations tremendously!! It is the thinnest wool cover I have seen and it is SO incredibly soft!!! So much softer than any of the other brands I have used. It is also somewhat cheaper, which is great too. I would give this product more stars if I could it really is the BEST wool cover! I am going to have to get more of these! Also this is so stretchy, it fits thin to chubby babies and with the little bit of elastic, the waist doesn't get stretched out. I think this will prove to be a great feature for use with subsequent children. I highly recommend this cover!

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Nice Cover!, August 3, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Kissa's Wool Lover Diaper Cover, Natural, Small (Baby Product)
This is softer than some other wool soaker covers, and seems very well made. I used it on my daughter at night right from the beginning, with a snappi'd prefold underneath, even though the leg openings gapped. Sometimes the diaper would feel damp in the morning, but there was no leakage on her pajamas or sheets, and then over the day, with an airing-out, the diaper would dry and not hold any odors. I have spot cleaned it a couple of times when poop leaked out the prefold, because you do have to hand-wash (and periodically lanolin treat) the diaper, and because it is thick it takes a long time to air dry, but that's just standard care for wool. The Kissa's is more expensive than some other similar styles I saw online, but I liked that it said it would fit a wider weight range than some others, so I figured we could use it longer. So far (daughter is 14 weeks) it's still going strong-- not at all tight around the legs-- so I think we'll be able to use it for a while longer, and I think it will hold up over time.

5.0 out of 5 stars for potty trainer, January 8, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have a 3 year old daughter who is not particularly interested in potty training. This product is perfect for us. I can put her in a trainer (like Gerbers Training Pants)and this over the top. It pulls up and down like a pull up (or underware)and keeps her clothes dry. This is perfect for what I needed (even though a little pricey).

Wool covers are my favorite covers by far. I've only had this one a couple of days but it's the softest one I have. The other one I own has never leaked. I use my other one at night over a large prefold and a small prefold as a doubler. My son is a very heavy wetter too. These wool things are bulletproof. We're ery pleased. The fit is very comfy too. No red marks around my boy's legs like some other covers I've tried. He's very active now and he can move around in these with no problem. They're very cute and soft.

5.0 out of 5 stars Laundry saver, November 13, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This product is great for cloth diaper users who have heavy wetters (especially at night). I was doubtful when buying this because my daughter frequently wakes up in the morning with a wet sheet and clothes (even with a pocket diaper with 2 bolsters!). It is worth every penny. No leaks yet (for 8 days straight!) Down sides: bulky combination with the extra bolsters (but her clothes still fit), hand-wash, and lanolizing occasionally needed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Function well, but..., August 16, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
These are a lovely wool cover, and we are big wool fans, but I have just a couple of concerns. One is that for such an expensive item, I was surprised that it did not come with care instructions. If I didn't already know how to care for wool, I might have been frustrated to have to go look it up. The tag on the inside simply says to lanolize. Which brings me to the next point: they are not made in the USA, I saw on the tag. This is a big surprise because Kissaluvs advertises Made in the USA all over their site, but I guess ended up with one of the items that they do not make in the US. I am disappointed because that was a selling point for us. The only other issue is the fit. I have two in diapers: a large, 18lb 4 month old and a petite 23lb 22 month old. I ordered both medium and large, hoping that medium would fit them both since my toddler will potty train soon, and they were both in the weight range. The medium is too small for my toddler, even though she is such a petite frame. But the large is just gigantic on my infant. I was hoping to not do two sizes, and theoretically they should both be in medium, but I ended up sending back the mediums and keeping the larges for nighttime, stuffed with a doubler in my infant to fill them out. I am sure he will grow in to them. I still give them 4 stars because they function very well, I just caution first time wool users, those who want US products, and those who would like to fit two babies in one size, there is a pretty big difference between the medium and large. I do like my Tetro OS wool covers better in fit for my two babies, but the Kissaluvs are very cozy for nighttime use around baby's legs an middle.

3.0 out of 5 stars Loved it until legs stretched out, July 1, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I bought two wool diaper covers to solve our nighttime leaking problem. I bought the beehind velcro wool covers and this soaker. Wool turned out to be a lifesaver, but over time I was disappointed with this cover. The legs stretched out so we started having leaking problems, and the pale (and boring) color of the cover got stained with lanolizing spots. I ended up being much happier with the $10 cheaper cover.

5.0 out of 5 stars new to cloth diapering and wool covers, February 22, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Kissa's Wool Lover Diaper Cover, Natural, Small (Baby Product)
I started cloth diapering with a rental place, got set up with PUL covers, but then stumbled on the wool cover world. This is my first child, I purchased two, and will never go back to PUL covers. I love how they breath, his cloth diaper even sometimes start to dry if he is napping and wets them, because of the wicking characteristics of wool! Will always use these, and I highly recommend and even try to convert friends over to wool, and cloth diapering!
